Just be prepared to spend a lot of time getting used to him, or else you'll also do very poorly on him. He can be a very strong lategame threat, though.

The pros seem to like him enough to regularly use him in LCS, but that may have to do with using a proper team comp that he works well with. He's not a mechanically simple champion, so if you get him you'll have to practice; he's a lot of fun though. I say buy him.

Azir is capable of making ridiculously awesome plays late game but it takes a VERY skilled player to pull that kind of stuff off. He has a very strong lane presence too.

If he's appealing to you then go ahead and try him. You can't gauge how well you'll do with a champion unless you'e familiar with him.

His winrate is low because people are bad. If you are bad, don't buy him. If you want to put 20+ games into learning him in normals and you're naturally good at video games, buy him.

Look at the "Win Rate % by Games Played" graph. That's the real story of Azir.

You should buy Azir if you have fun playing him, end of discussion. If you enjoy playing him, you'll put in the games to understand him and get good with him, and your win rate with him will improve above the 44% average.
