Dancing in and out of range or forcing her to switch targets. She has to hit the same target 3 times in order to benefit from the true damage. Having two people dance in and out of range with a shit ton of armor destroys her dps. Like, royally.

Her basic attacks themselves aren't any more deadly than anyone else's. In fact, removing the true damage component of her kit from play guts her entire damage potential.

you don't know her passive do you? but how is anyone elses. other adcs. tristana. mf. viable in this case. her kit aint good enough without the true damage. why isn't her true damage. flat like twitch. like straight up the ass 12% true damage. seriously. meanwhile kog maw has what 2-4% MAGIC DAMAGE. think about it. if she is gutted without it. that means that every other adc is gutted too

dont forget she has the HIGHEST. base AS in the game.

You're comparing apples to oranges. Kog just deals enormous single target damage. Vayne is specifically for killing hard-to-kill champions. Twitch is an assassin with tons of aoe.

Also, the thing I find absolutely hilarious is that Vayne has less base AS than both twitch AND kog and only has 0.002 more AS than trist and MF.

she has the highest AS at level 18. who gives a shit about level 1.

Base AS does not change. It is the one stat that is static throughout the game. This is because base AS is used to determine how effective % AS increases are. Someone with 10% more base AS will gain 10% more AS.

Also, while it's indeed true that barring all external sources of AS, Vayne has the highest AS at lvl 18, in practice, this has no purpose whatsoever as almost every ADC will have built some form of AS from items, runes, masteries, or spells.

This has particular bearing on midgame since while Vayne has significantly higher AS/lvl than Kalistra, Kalista has extremely high base AS. Thus, she has a significantly higher return from earlier AS than Vayne. One could argue that for this reason, BoRK is stronger on Kalista than it is on Vayne.

because her awesome team is gonna let me. no seriously lets be fair here. if a tank can make adcs kind of weak agaisnt them. why isn't vayne in the formula. it makes no sense. okay true damage ignores MR and Armor. but put something that mitigates it to a certain degree.

Tanks cannot make adcs kind of weak against them. Tanks are here to counter burst, not sustained damage. Ask your Mage or your Assassin to rekt the Vayne, it's their job.

The whole idea is that: burst (ie mages) beats dps (ie adcs) beats tanks beats burst. It's a triangle. If you want to beat vayne, you need burst dmg. If she has good peel, play a really mobile champ ( Zed , Leblanc , Fizz ) so you can get in and then just blink away.

It's funny, because the other day I was playing Sejuani.

Their team had only AD, so I was with 4.5k HP and over 300 armor and she still melted me like it was nothing.

There was a time it felt satisfying to be a tank.

yeah i watched my roommate for few seconds. he was nasus. around 400 armor. i was like "wtf why do you have so much armor". 5 seconds later a vayne killed him with a handful of shots.

Your Nasus did it wrong. I wouldn't have built that much armor but more health.

And? If she is the only one on the enemy team that deals true damage but the others don't, more health will still benefit you because you'll be able to cope with the other 4 champs.

Also, regarding your Nasus comment. Depending what the Nasus built, how many stacks he had and his skill set determined why he got melted so fast even if he had 400 armor which is useless.

Did he run in? Chased when he wasn't supposed to?

There are many factors to consider.

The only counter to true damage is more HP. She still does physical damage(obviously) so armor is still important.
