Spellvamp and Aurelion Sol

So, it's probly a bit early to ask this question, but do you think Spellvamp is viable on Aurelion ?

Traditionally, lifelink (spellvamp/lifesteal) is better with sustained damage instead of burst, and that's why so many ADC can use lifesteal while so few mages can use spellvamp. But Aurelion seems to deal most of his damage with his passive, and this definitely looks like sustained damage.

Moreover, there should be some word done regarding spellvamp with the Mid-Year Mage Update, so maybe the stat will become easier to itemize for.

So what do you think?

In the current state no. After the Mage Update, maybe...

The thing is that all his abilities are AoE, so you need to hit a lot of people to actually heal efficiently.

As Anu said, all of his skills are AoE which means spellvamp only applies 1/3 of it's common magnitude. I'd just go AP/HP.

probably not since all of his abilities are AOE

No. His Q is pretty low damage and just used as cc for his passive/w. It wouldn't make any use for spellvamp. His passive is also aoe so it only applies 1/3 so 5% of his passive/w. His ult would heal him maybe like 50 HP or so.

It's not viable. Just build AP/HP. You'll be a lot better off. People will even say you're op cause they can't get away from rylais lol.

I've tried gunblade in a private match on PBE, which was effective to a point. Spellvamp does not offer viable sustain during a fight, but using W's increased damage against minion waves is a great way to get health back quickly. It does work, just, not at the rate of a Vlad or Akali using spellvamp.
