Questions about ranked

So I was told to post this here after posting it on "Help and Support" so, here I am. Okay, hi. I've started playing league of legends a couple of months ago, took a break in the middle and started playing again a couple of weeks ago. I recently reached level 30 and played ranked. I played the first 10 placement matches and got into Silver III. So my questions are :

a) Is getting into Silver III after placements good, bad or average? What do the average player usually get ranked to? b) I currently have 0LP. If I lose my first game, will I get demoted to Silver IV? c) What is the difference between ELO and MMR? d) What is the average ELO and MMR for an average Silver III player?

a) It is average, or maybe slightly above average. b) There is a safety net for when you recently got to a new division, you will not drop immediately, however 3-4 losses in a row probably would make you drop. c) It is the same thing, Riot just changed the name to match making rating when they introduced the tier system. d) About 1250.

A) "Is getting into Silver III after placements good, bad or average?" Depends on the player really. "What do the average player usually get ranked to?" The average player (average meaning most) is either Bronze or Silver. That's what most player's are.

B) You "shouldn't". If you were placed there, you "should" get a bit of a grace period.

D) No one "really" knows. MMR is not published and third party sites try to guess based on your matches.

A. Depends on the player and the "average" league player is in silver/bronze. So yes silvers the average.

B.If you just got silver 3 then no. Usually you don't drop right away after losing a game at 0LP

C. ELO is i guess your rank while MMR is the hidden number of what your elo should be.

D.Your current MMR is 1,254. The average MMR for your league is 1,335. Now this not an exact number as no one can tell you the exact numbers. This is what it showed as your MMR and the average MMR for your league on OP.GG http://na.op.gg/summoner/userName=CORADELAIDE
