Why is okay for our literal last line of defense to be made of sand?

You can literally kill nexus turrets in 2 seconds. Who in the fuck thought that would be fun and interesting? If anyone gets an ace at inhib its a guaranteed gg if you have more than 20 second death timers and even then you're basically open. It isn't even funny anymore how has the live design/balance team managed to keep this one under the rug for so long?? And dont give me that balancing for pro play bullshit that's like 1-3% of the total playerbase that's no good reason for the game to feel this bad to play.

Imagine watching a movie and as the heroes close in to kill the villain the heroes discoverthe guards blocking his lair are just brooms with half empty waterguns duck taped to them.

If the towers are gong to be glass at least make them glass cannons. How is it good that i can literally tanknexus turrets as fucking jhin?

Nexus Turrets aren't supposed to be the strongest. You are supposed to defend them, not the other way around.

If they were the strongest, then the game would never end as the home team would already have the advantage of less room to cover and the fountain and shop.

I don't remember watching them crumble this damn fast in season 4 - 6 man.

It puts an importance on smarter plays near the end-game.

If anything, I'd think I would add an additional turret after the Nexus turrets. The same strength and speed as the one on Twisted Treeline. Really punish last minute dives, reduce the brutality of winions, and have an option for quick strategy to hopefully save the game.

Other than that, the layout of the base isn't that bad. It forces players to make smart decisions or lose. They don't exist to defend the game for you. They exist for you to defend and avoid your Nexus from being destroyed too simply.

Its not even that it's just they seem more like kittens with water guns than a pitiful last resort or whatever. They aren't threatening in the least.

It's not really supposed to be a last resort - that's the point. They exist as your last chance for your team defend your base. If those go down, all it takes is to push as a team, ignore the enemy, and hit the Nexus. [sg-lulu]

I wish they did some more, sometimes, but there's not anything fundamentally wrong with the current set up.
