Yea but in the event of Veigar flashing or another gank, mr is good to have because Elise also has magic dmg. Plus Lux can always build it into abyssal which has a good passive.

If there's a lot of CC on the enemy team, sometimes you're better off w/ Cleanse tbh

and Zhonyas works against Veigar ult late game as well, just need to look out for it. I remember I played against a very good Azir before all the nerfs and he would dodge my ult pretty much every time with Zhonyas.

As Lux, even with Abyssal, you're pretty dead if veigar or elise catch you, even 1v1. Negatron is a waste in favor of other items like morello's and such. Maybe 4th or 5th item for the passive.

You shouldn't really be getting hit by veigar even if he gets a lead. Abyssal won't save you from bad positioning.

So if Veigar flashes onto you, you're badly positioned? Where's the logic in THAT?

Besides, I was also running Exhaust as Lux because it was mid-lane Veigar. Barrier does nothing against him.

Yes. High level players time flashes for a reason. It's so that they have a good idea of when flash will be up. When Veigar's flash is up, give him a very wide berth. Wide enough that he can't flash ult or flash CC you. Flash Q won't kill you unless you're low (in which case you shouldn't be in lane), and if you get hit by flash W you deserve to die.

Issue with that is if you're giving Veigar such a wide berth, he'll starve you from CS.

Why should you be able to freely CS when you're behind? That's not how this game works lol.

Which is worse: starving for CS, or starving for CS while constantly dying?

Plus if Veigar doesn't build MR himself, Lux can one shot him with a full combo at any point past lvl 9.

Both have really hard cc. item 3102 is a good choice, since later in the game it'll help vs veigar's and elise's stun. I'd think that negatron is a waste, since you're longer range than him and he's probably going to be using his abilities to farm rather than try to fight you. Even with a negatron, a EQWR from Veigar is still going to be killing you. Maybe rushing item 3157 for his ulti?

if you play it right, abyssal should be the only mr you'll need against veigar unless you got cucked and are playing Cass vs Veigar

abyssal isn't that bad on lux

sure, your spells outrange its aura, but you sometimes fight closer too, it gives mr, ap and cdr too and is a great item overall

but don't finish it before morello

You don't really need to finish the Abyssal.

Just sit on the Negatron Cloak until late-game and get a Guardian Angel (or sell it).

Magic resist doesn't do anything unless you also have health to go along with it. Later on, you're going to need more of it... Soooooo... it's better just to build glass and try to kite him and burst him before he bursts you.

The problem is there's also an Elise, who can gap-close you after a long-range stun. Or Veigar could use Flash and then stun you.
