I really need help getting out of Bronze this season. Looking for a coach or something. Not paying.

Hey. I've been trying to get out of bronze for a long time now, and the start of s8 just fucked me over so hard. (I'm not asking for sympathy here; I'm just explaining what's going on and how I feel/what I'm thinking about ranked so far).

I've consistently played around the b3 region, ended b3 last season. I've consistently played with high bronze - low silver players. I have, multiple times, played with friends who have high silver and even low gold games and I hold my own (might not do super well but I'm not going 1/10). Point is: I am better than b5 and I know it. Silver? Maybe not yet. But I know I'm better than bronze 5 and I should be climbing, but I don't know / can't identify what's holding me back. Here is what I think of every time I lose a game:

I've been playing Katarina and Cassiopeia a lot in ranked, and I really can't do well with either of them. With Kat, everyone says she's such a good champion, but every tank seems to counter her since they just CC her to death or soak up all the damage.

Every time I play I feel like I'm countered in lane, or that the enemies are so much better than me. It's really frustrating since even when I try to play my best certain champions can cheese their way by and win anyway because they counter me in lane.

2-8 in placements. I had some good games, some bad ones. Eh. Even in the good games I still thought there was nothing I could have done. After placements. The first time I picked Kat I got an annie smurf who was way better than me; I fed really hard and got very tilted. Fine. Things happen, I took a break. The last game I played I got paired against vladimir; bot and top fed also which didn't help, lost again.

I know I've only played 2 or 3 ranked games + placements this season, but the same thing happened last season where no matter how well I did (I've had games where I steamrolled mid and yet bot still fed early and I couldn't do anything).

I always try to farm out the lane, go roam bot lane to snowball them, come back, farm a bit, roam wherever the team needs me. I'm always pinging mia, dragon, herald etc. and my team is sometimes responsive but sometimes they just blow me off. I always try to help my allies snowball, sometimes at the cost of my own progress since I know how much bot lane matters in Bronze.

I'm getting 30 LP per win and only losing 14, yet I'm still getting pounded into the ground. No matter how much I try to roam, gank, farm etc. it doesn't seem to matter, since one feeder straight up fucks over the game. If I lose I always take at least a 30 minute break; on bad losses I'll just stop for the day or a few hours. Nothing really helps... and I don't know why.

I really need advice on how to climb; I don't know how my friends got out of bronze in the slightest. I'm around the same skill level as some of my friends and play with them a lot, yet when it comes to bronze 5, the lowest skill level, I can't do anything while they can get into silver, gold easily. Eventually they will get so high I won't be able to compete with them. I

I also have no issue with normal (blind or draft). Those games always feel fair, and I actually do a lot better in those games even when I'm playing against a higher ELO team or with silver/gold friends.

I'll send in replays of my next game or two if you're willing to review it. Or give some advice please on who to play (mid). I love Kat and Cass but I don't know if I can play them in this elo.

(If it helps I have about 100-150 ranked games (maybe) and over 1,000 normals) Thank you.

If you're bronze for several seasons it means that you are just as impulsive and destructive to your own play as your compatriots are.

Best Advice I can give:

Don't ever enter a bush that isn't warded. If it means losing a camp, so what? better than feeding 300g.

Get in a habit of only last hitting minions unless you are bot lane (in which case some matchups you really should push, like a Blitzcrank game, because if you don't, he will gain free Q shots. The more of the game fought near your turret, the less you will get ganked.

Katarina is an insane champ. But she is a high learning cap Champ after her rework. You need to learn how to continually chain daggers and throw them at the right times to land where a champ is going rather than behind them. She does shred tanks, but you need to build sustain.

I don't suggest Katarina for a yolo Bronze player. If you're going Yolo Assassin, go Akali. She generally has a kit that avoids a lot of cc, and is far cheesier, and with a Hextech has two on board heals.

For a Mid, Morgana or Ahri are FAR easier champs to pick up. If vs an AP counter, you can build them tank, and outperform the AP builds. If vs AD, they do well as AP. Self Sustain, good clears, good detection/mobility/cc. And they work well with teams. They generally forgive ganks.

Again. Never go into an unwarded bush. if you need to go somewhere, take a 100% safe route. Don't ever presume to know what "safe" paths are without seeing them. And sometimes, it's worth taking the long route rather than trying to ward the short route, because that is how a lot of snowballs start.

If your team is prone to Jungle fights in tight corridors, don't join them. Or at least, stay as far out of the trap as possible, throwing nukes on top of the fight, and ensure you have an out in case they die and you need to defend a lane push.

Respect other champs. Never risk a fight that you can lose. It's better to afk farm than risk fights like that.

Watch Pros on Youtube, like Redmercy, or Pants Are Dragon, Box Box, Anklespankin, and you might gain an appreciation for complicated plays, and understand a bit more about how the game revolves around cutting animation times, orbing, freezing and striking deftly. That alone will help get out of Bronze. It might not be enough to get you out of Silver though, because you probably don't understand enough by watching videos to improve that much. That..... just takes experience.

I also got placed in bronze 5. I went from b5 to b2 in 3 days playing katarina, leblanc, and hecarim.

Heres how u do it. O B J E C TI V ESS! Most bronze players dont understand the importance of infernal dragons. They are amazing and its hard to lose if u secure 2-3 of them. Kills dont win games, kills open opportunitys for objectives. Kill ur laner and tell ur jungler to come herald after u get control wards and ward up the area. Get first tower with that and keep securing objectives

Oh yeah and also if u wanna win BAN NASUS

I'm actually slightly interested in this, tbh. One thing I know for sure: DO NOT fool yourself into thinking you're better than you are because you see the occasional "Not Bronze" player in a normal game. Normal games are such ridiculous chimp-fests that rankings can halfway be thrown out the window.
