Wasn't Gunblade nerfed?
15% of the damage dealt, before it gave 20% spell vamp, and 12% lifesteal.
spell vamp already worked on physical damage
anyone?

spell vamp only worked with spell casts, this now works with anything you do that damages someone. Autos, Abilities, Actives.
If spell vamp only worked with spell casts, this means its also a buff to jax, who can get the healing off the passive portion of his ultimate now in addition to the rest of his abilities (though he would have gotten healing off his other abilities prior to this patch).
Actually rageblade and gunblade make for a really nasty combo on melee auto attackers like jax/yi/aatrox.
Oh I know, ive been jungling jax and its really scary. I gave up on bork; with rage blade and gunblade being so much better on him I decided i don't need the bork anymore.
I've been contemplating the possibilities of rageblad/gunblade/hurricane on someone like Teemo... [zombie-nunu-hearts]
rageblade doesn't stack off hurricane bolts though so it doesn't get stacked up until 8 autos. I'm sure it would still hurt but I'd rather have higher amounts of ap and with the deathfire mastery and watch as my autos light them on fire.

So that's why it felt like it was stacking so slow.

Deathfire only procs from 'damaging abilities'. On-hit effects don't usually qualify.
Yup I misread it. I thought it was from dealing damage.
thx to his wierd codeing, he always used spellvamp with his ult-procs. Gunblade always was a very underrated item on him, and i always preferd it over BotrK unless i head to deal with alot hp-stacking. just more burst, more sustain, mixed damage and way less cd on the slow-active
oh really? Then this sorta is a nerf on jax, active is up less often, and less spell vamp for 3% more lifesteal.
Also do you know what the deal is with the fervor keystone? Like, do those stacks benefit from lifesteal/ability scaling? or is it in addition?
the fevor is physic damage on-ht, it only scales with levels and number of stacks and does not use lifesteal(but gunblade) And the active isn't really nerfed, tzhe cdr-reduce is gone, but the cd was reduced from 60 to 30sec aswell, so unless you could land more than 10 singletarget hits in a fight, the cd was buffed. and to be honest, i rarly did more than 10 singletarget hits unless it was a really drawnout teamfight...
I don't disagree, but with jax (at least) jumpstrike into auto reset with w is 6 seconds off and just just engaging; If devourer is a part of the equation also then you are looking at reducing the cooldown pretty quickly. But you're probably right, im just playing devils advocate at this point.
It now applies to damage dealt by on-hit effects such as Devourer or the Fervor of Battle Mastery.
Jungle Jax may become terror.
Spell Vamp works on spells, regardless of the type of damage they dealt (physical or magical). Life steal works only on auto attacks.
Now Gunblade just heals from all damage.
Whether it's a nerf or not is debatable, but no, you weren't getting 32% healing from physical spells, as I believe you thought.
EDIT: clarified

no, i wasn't meaning that i used to heal 32% from physical damage, but i used to get 12% from basic attacks, and 20% from spells. now i get 15% for both which is nerf.... and the 3 sec cdr for each aa/targeted spells was here. i was able to use it twice with jax and slow someone 2 times
Ah, you only quoted the LS and SV portions of the item, so I assumed you were referring to those specifically as being nerfed.
I'd argue it would depend on who the champion is for if it's a nerf (when looking specifically at the healing portion). For instance, off-hand, Kayle might think of it as a buff considering how AA heavy she is, since she now heals 3% more from her AA's, and she isn't going to benefit from the SV with her heal and ult, and the splash on her E won't miss the 5% SV much.
while the cdr has been removed, the cd also has been reduced by 30sec, so unless you could land 10 singletarget hits on a target, it actually was a buff in that regard
only way this isnt a nerf is if you have true damage in your kit
What if you have high AS and long CDs?
only way this isnt a nerf is if you have true damage in your kit
true
only way this isnt a nerf is if you have true damage in your kit
Or if you use lichbane, or have active items, or have summons.
Basically it's a massive buff for a huge amount of champions.
Don't forget Teemo, and all the other champions with substantial damage from on-hit effects.
Now you heal off of onhit effects, as well as things that previously did NOT proc it for balance reasons.
will be healing for 15% of his onhits
will now proc it off of his turret autos

i understand why gravious wound was added
is happy. therefore i am happy.
the fact that it works on on-hits, which it mostly didn't befor for alot champions is quite a buff. it only is somewhat of an nerf for jax, but not much.
gunblade now works on stuff like teemos E, kogs W, wit's end, nashors, sunfire, lichbane and so on, which for most users is quite a buff.
Now heals off of
bonus damage and other types of non-auto damage that was not able to apply spell effects like
's E which did not work with life steal or spell vamp since the change to apply on hit effects.
The part I don't get is the flat % of damage. Life steal was on hit, and Spell vamp was on spell effect. But the new effect seems to vamp from all sources of damage. Which makes me wonder if it affects other items as well. (i.e. Ginzos, or Hydra.)
It does. It also applies to on-hit effects which didn't used to apply anything.
