How Riot is turning into Apple....

I will explain myself thoroughly :)

Lets talk about apple first

  • Apple was founded in 1976 by Steve Jobs, Ronald Wayne, and Steve Wozniak
  • Apple released their Macintosh and iPod and all of their other products, people got interested, but not hooked
  • Apple decided to ask the people for feedback
  • Apple slowly improves based on buyers feedback, with the apple 2, the Mac, and the IMAC
  • the people wanted a music Hub
  • Apple releases itunes, an instant hit with other on hundred thousand dollars in sales in the year.
  • The people ask, "Can i watch videos on this ipod?"
  • Apple releases ipod video
  • The people dream of a touch screen device
  • The release of the iphone, the start of the smartphone craze. The company flourishes, the people love how they instantly respond to them and respond in a meaningful manner Then things go down.
  • Apple gets too big...
  • Apple begins to bathe in their money
  • Apple ignores the peoples comments when it comes to new products, (Remember the time we wanted a round edged design?)
  • Apple begins to get greedy.... We don't need different chargers every time a new mac book is released, but they did it anyway same for the iphone (This scenario has not applies to riot ... yet)

Now we discuss riot..

  • Riot was founded in 2006, by Marc Merrill, and Brandon Beck, two men with an amazing vision
  • Riot released the game league of legends in 2009, a MOBA game unique for its shop feature
  • the players wanted a new game mode
  • Twisted treeline is released in 2010
  • The people wanted skins
  • Riot delivers
  • The people wanted balance in the champions
  • Riot almost instantaneously delivers
  • The people wished for a place to communicate with other players on their ideas and issues
  • The forums were introduced
  • The people were agitated by AFKers
  • Riot releases AFK detection
  • The players love the interaction between their employees and players
  • League of legends is statistically named the most played video game in the world The company flourishes, with an animation team, music team, and balance team, all who work really hard to deliver what the players want....at least at first....
  • Riots interaction between employees and players decrease.....
  • The players share their ideas and thoughts in the boards.. but get little to no feedback....
  • The people make threads, explaining their dispear in the decrease of interaction between riot and the players...Riot doesn't respond...

Apple has become such a rich company, where no matter what they release, the people will buy Are we soon to meet the same fate?

Riot game (s) will not be like this unless they release major products into the world.

But players are asking for things (as buyers) and riot are responding (Alot of which they dont get money for - e.g Afk detectors, tribunal, free champs/giveaways.

Money not necessarily comes from RP only. As the game gets bigger, it gets visibility and other players like merchandising, propaganda, and even the events join the game... So, if they stop doing what people ask (afk detector, tribunal, free champs/giveaways), they might lose visibility...

They might lose future unknown visibility (the player base now will still see riot as a good company, i assume)

The fact that you still use the Boards betrays you.
