You have to STOP attacking teammates for mistakes

One of the worst parts of league is its community A community filled with stubborn egomaniacs

Here is my proposition STOP yelling at teammates, STOP attacking them for playing wrong, STOP whining in all chat about how bad they are

What should you do? If you're really THAT MUCH BETTER than another player, you should be able to TEACH that player and give him/her POINTERS Instead of just whining and whining. If you're not able to teach another player, or help them fix their mistakes, you are just as or worse of a player than them, simply said.

Now of course there will always be those players who troll, those players who don't listen and have no care for any help teammates are trying to give. This is not for them.

There are ALWAYS players who want to learn, who are actually trying, and actually are willing to get better, and cursing those players out, don't help at all

Next time a player curses you out, ask them to tell you what you should do differently, and if they can't you know that that player is just as bad.

Attacking other players is unacceptable, but that doesn't mean that one cannot point out mistakes.

I've found that it typically helps if you phrase it as a suggestion for the future instead of condemning them for the past. For example:

BAD: "Stop f***ing split pushing and group, you idiots. You're throwing the game." GOOD: "We keep getting picked off splitting. We should probably try and group before we throw."

Hostile seems to be the default mode for much of the League of Legends community.

Gnar starts telling our Lux how he's actually not white I inquire what this is about, since I must've missed what this was in reference to Gnar tells me to "stfu noob," calls me a "*** virus," and tells me post-match to uninstall*

tells jungler in champ select that it's doubtful I'll need help and so he can spend the whole match where he's more needed anyway, by mid, bot, and dragon he rages, telling me not to tell him how to play the game and says that if I wanted to jungle I should've jungled

In other words, good luck getting people to even do as another user here said and phrase things in a more constructive fashion. Even if you do, the chances of them listening are even slimmer.

Kalista spends almost the entire laning phase OOM, spamming rend on minions I suggest that maybe she cut down on her rend usage so she has more mana to fight nothing changes; if anything, she uses rend more to spite me

*Darius gives up first blood to Ekko * we all tell him, nicely at first, to build defense since he's behind he whines about how Ekko is OP, and continues to do so as he builds straight damage and die to Ekko something like 7 more times we slowly escalate our demands, getting fed up with him still, nothing changes and Ekko just about single-handedly wins them the game thanks to his stupidity post-match I look at his build and find he never bought a single defensive item

This is why I tend to just keep quiet now. Either people will throw a fit or they'll ignore my advice. Or both.

I agree with you completely, but the game is going in the other direction pretty strongly. This idea is kinda the opposite of what Riot has made. The raging players who blame and insult their teammates get ignored, while the victims get punished by the automated system. Riot says the system isn't automated right now, but the only way that is true is if it's being run by people who care about customers even less than their support staff does.

What Khurby says is sadly true and most of the trolls have figured this out. They also know that Riot refuses to figure out how to take pregame logs, so they will constantly troll as hard as they can, saying the most hateful things they can think of. When you get into the game and someone is on tilt due to the horrible(yet ignored by Riot) pregame, the guy who's on tilt gets reported and punished by the troll, his duo partner, and anyone he can convince from the enemy team. The system has been reduced to nothing more than another tool for griefers, and when you point out its flaws to Riot, they just lie about it and swear it's infallable. They don't care that its busted. They seem to actually want this game to become fully populated with trolls, griefers, and raging sociopaths.

Another, somewhat smaller, crowd in this problem area are the players who simply refuse to listen to anyone no matter what. I've been reported in countless games for simply asking people to do things like group and play safe(not being mean, and in some of them I'm trying waaay too hard to be nice to obvious trolls). Some of these kids just instantly gang up on people who type in full sentences and try and make them stop and think about anything. You know what's great about that? All it takes is two of them with this mentality and you can actually get warned or punished for this thanks to the wonderful "non-automated" system.

i never flame and i have tried countless times to give advice instead of whining, but lets be real here its the league community we are talking about here there is no way they will listen to you they will just say in all chat "report jungler for flaming me" when you just said "dont push top so hard, i cant gank"

Request denied. Every single time, without exception, that I attempt to "teach" or "help" another player, they act defensive and impudent.

I'll continue to follow standard procedure: (1) Point out obvious mistake (2) Give solution (3) Mute anyway since teammate refuses to have a meaningful discussion or listen to criticism.

How about instead of saying anything about their play, because I bet they already know exactly what they did wrong, we just leave chat for friendly conversations and team strategy? I don't want to hear anything from anybody about how someone's playing. You can get pissy at people if they're not playing as a team member, but don't get pissy at them for making mechanical mistakes. Mechanical mistakes will always happen, and the player knows they're happening. They're probably noticing mechanical mistakes in your own play, but aren't saying anything to you.

During the game is not the time for pointers

Whats the point of teaching 1 person out of 68 million. seems like a stupid task.

LGBTCute7/7/2015, 7:16:42 AM3 votes

Yeah, why yell at them for making mistakes? That doesn't do anything. Instead, just report them for "negative attitude" or "verbal abuse". Then you increase the chance an automated system will ban their account. Works even if they never say a single word in chat!

Lose lane = lose account. The stakes have gone up in season 5.

It's hilarious how many people seem to think that yelling at and berating teammates will somehow help them.

Here's a hint: that Lee Sin jungle diving top turret at five minutes and dying probably KNOWS they made a mistake. You complaining about it for the remainder of the game does nothing to help.

ZenBudS7/8/2015, 5:48:51 AM2 votes

Listen, i agree with you. When a teammate is new I do try to help. But often times trying to help ignorant people only gets you called a pussy or worse. they tell you to mind your business. How am i suppose to mind my business when u just stole half of my first jungle camp because your so dumb you dont know how to leash. Then you come at me telling me to shuttup when all i am doing is trying to tell you the proper way to leash... believe you me, it is not just the people that bitch about you that are to blame. YOU NOOBS SUCK TOO. You need to understand when you are new, most of the time your in the wrong and talking back to intelligent players with experience is usually the cause for lost games and raging. I have been recently banned because i ragd at a new person that only wanted to troll me after completely screwing me over all match. Riots new system for banning doesnt look into who was actually to blame they just ban you. So fair warning when dealing with new people. If you give them advice most of them rage at you, act like they know more then you, then report you and get you banned for calling them idiots. JUST SAYIN DUDE. imagin if you were better and your teammates kept screwin you over and not even apologizing or trying to get better... annoying right...

What you can attack your teammates in this game? Tell me how Shaco

Anyone who agrees with OP feel free to hit me up, I'll do anything to get away from toxic players.

arcinex7/7/2015, 6:36:20 PM2 votes

That player isn't just as bad. It's frustrating to teach someone the game especially if it's in a ranked game. It's pointless. If you suck at the game you should be told so. Just like how parents lecture their kids for bad grades.

Welcome to summer vacation where hostility in a team game over inconsequential matches is common.
