If an ally or Jhin damages you, you are marked. If Jhin hits you with his W when you are marked, you are rooted.

He has to land his Deadly Flourish on you to root you after you have been marked.

No, no, no. His snare is his W, the ability that's a long line skillshot. This one.

If he uses this on you AFTER his allies hit you or you run on his trap, THEN you get snared.

ye i understand now. This ability is called Deadly Flourish aka his W IF Jhin hints enemy with basic attack

  • or his allies damage and enemy
  • or enemy champion steps on Lotus Trap IF jhin damages with Deadly Flourish at an enemy champion then that champion is snared

"Jhin brandishes his cane, firing a single shot with incredible range. It pierces through minions and monsters, but stops on the first champion hit. If the target was recently struck by Jhin's allies, lotus traps, or basic attacks, they are rooted." If you don't know how a champion works, just go to their abilities and read them, they're usually pretty straightforward.

So only Deadly Flourish Stuns you not his basic attack or other abilities

Its a Root, there is a difference. And yes it's only Deadly Flourish. Roots you can still use spells and auto attack, you just can't use anything that would forcibly cause you to move. Like Lucian's Dash.

Stuns don't really let you do much. But you can still use summoner spells and items if I'm not mistaken.
