Holy crap everyone loves to hate Irelia but she's practically weak compared to other fighters.

Stop. Irelia is probably the weakest out of all fighter/assassins and barely fills her role as either of those. Her only source of damage is her 15/30/45/60/75 true damage on hit and she's basically just playable as a tank unless a dumb enemy feeds you. Focus your hate on something else like Annie who actually is broken and 100-0s tanks or Veigar who has a 2.5s AoE slow and a gaurunteed kill ability. She lacks defense and damage compared to other Toplaners like volibear who is unescapable and riven who's ult has a 50% health AoE nuke and gives her an unfair advantage in a fight, with no costs and a free shield with 1.0 AD scaling. Where's Irelias defense? I don't see it. The only arguable thing about irelia being somewhat op is the triforce and Q synergy. Guess what? About 30 other champions have that. So everyone who keeps complaining that irelia is overpowered, read this post because she isn't at all. And I don't main her before you guys try to play that card (TwistedFate.

I don't even have to look up your account to know that you're in Bronze.

Her ultimate has high base damage, she has insane synergy with Sheen, and her autoattacks deal a decent amount of damage even without W active since she tends to build attack speed.

She doesn't have the CC or utility to qualify as a tank since she only has a conditional single-target slow/stun. No matter how she builds, she's primarily useful due to her damage (meaning that she is a fighter).

Competent players can generally work around Annie with a little intelligence and forethought. While she is by no means weak, you are vastly overestimating her strengths while unaware or incapable of taking advantage of her weaknesses.

Veigar doesn't have a slow/ His cage stuns people who hit the wall and appears after a delay. He doesn't have an guaranteed kill ability either unless you let him free-farm the entire game and don't build any MR.

Volibear works better in an outright brain-less brawl but Irelia has the tools to work around him with some intelligence.

Riven's ultimate doesn't have a 50% health AOE nuke (learn how to read ability descriptions) and no ability in a champion's kit can be considered FREE (since each champion has a power-budget within their kit).

Well, at least you know your opinions are wrong and that you can't actually support your arguments. Otherwise, you would be trying to argue.

Also, you would probably deal more damage with Irelia if you were taking Fervor of Battle instead of Warlord's Bloodlust. I'm not sure why you bother taking Warlord's Bloodlust on Irelia in the first place, but it's a horrible option for her.

I love when people say "competent players can play around champs like Annie or Kat, theyre only good in Bronze" lol. Thats why Annie has almost 54% win rate in plat+ and Kat is probably the best assassin atm I guess..

I didn't mean to imply that they are only good in Bronze play and I don't believe I did. Players maining Annie have reached Master and Challenger in the past and they will in the future.

What I meant to say was that there were ways to adjust your playstyle to account for them and to manage them when they are on the enemy team.

It doesn't necessarily always work, but they aren't EZ-mode faceroll free-wins as the OP was implying.

Yeah there are ways to adjust your playstyle and counter every champ, even if theyre too strong. And I wasnt just talking about you, many people say that stuff.

Well statistacally, Kat is the best one by far unless you count Ahri but her primary is mage

the issue is that irelia is toxic and has an overloaded kit

also irelia does have a defense, she also has overloaded stats.

Her triforce synergy just puts her overthetop.

Despite being weaker than the average toplaner, she still shits on them. This is the nature of her toxicity, she wins matchups she isn't supposed to and a lot of it is just tons of power
