Something that came in mind......
So i was playing some random RPG game where they have the usual 5 classes: warrior, archer, mage, rogue and priest. I decided to go rogue as i always like the ability to burst single a target instantly so i have to deal with less foes. Being a rogue, the stat that i valued the most was of course critical. Having high base critical chance and skills that procced of crit made me desire to focus most of my attributes on that over other attributes. I was thinking how its very typical how in almost all games rogues need critical to be functional. Then i realized; LoL does not follow this line of thought.
Unlike a majority of games, instead of critical being mandatory on rogues (assassins), instead its becomes mandatory on archers (ADC). Critical strike, a chance burst attribute, is fixed on the major dps unit instead of the unit that is supposed to burst. Sure some assassins
have critical strike in them, but we almost never see an assassin buying
, one of the highest burst damage item in the game. So i thought, what would happen in crit was moved to cater towards assassins instead of ADCs? in return, ADCs could get more items that focus on attack speed, their supposedly major stat. And assassins would depend on crits to burst down a champion, which also fulfills the fantasy of a assassin: land a crit and kill the enemy, or "mess up" and the enemy gets away.
Of course i realise what a huge crazy overhaul it would take to move crits from ADCs to assassins. I just wondered who actually decided to give all the crits to the ADCs, instead to the assassins, in the first place. Just my 2 cents on this.
