So right now 5 things are certain

A lot of people love URF
A lot of people love URf a bit too much
If URF became a normal mode then less people would play rank
Draven wouldnt be able to show of in ranked anymore (DRAAAVVEEEENNNN)
Manatees are cute

So what I propose is Ultra Rapid Friday That's right ladies, gentlemen and yordles. Every Friday URF will accessible and we can all play our beautifully chaotic mode. With this we can play URF for roughly 23.99 hours a week! All the fun, tears and bloodshed, available once a week throughout the year

So what do you guys think?

EDIT: Changed 1, 2 and 3 to avoid offending people EDIT2: Some people suggest to mix up the special game modes instead of just urf which i think is great. Maybe every month can have its own special mode.

Yeah nobody plays aram its so boring now. In fact nobody plays LoL anymore it grown stale and un-fun (sarcasm intensifies)

I like URF and all, but the difference between ARAM and URF is that ARAM is still the same game for the most part, cept it's on a single lane map and the champions are random.

The key feature is that random pick, that way no real meta can form unless you go to extreme lengths like ARAM only accounts, but I digress. Perhaps it's just me, but ARAM succeeds because there's no way for you to always pull the same stupid annoying team comp you'd probably see every URF game or every One For All.

But, I'm not a opposed to a weekly URF for those that want it, just giving my two cents on the whole ARAM and URF thing. Perhaps URF should be made permanent in the same way as ARAM? Random champions, but with the same URF twist? Just a thought.

ARAM you can't enforce anything except maybe the summoner spells.

Uh..you dont think theres a meta in ARAM? People make accounts solely made for ARAM with a shit load of scaling runes and champions like Varus and Galio.

Plus, featured game modes have to be balanced differently than the actual game. If urf was every week riot would have to put a lot more time into patches, meaning they would roll out, say, every month instead of two weeks. That's possibly an exaggeration, but you see my point.

Due to bug fixes, yeah; not for balancing. Riot rarely does balance changes for the permanent alternate modes. I doubt they'd suddenly become more supportive just because of URF.

featured game modes are temporary by intent.
URF is super resource intensive. To the point they forewarned last time of plans to disable team builder and custom games to free up bandwidth. They didn't have to, thankfully, since it didn't get nearly the attention of first release. Still gives a good idea of what goes into the particular mode though.

Then you get a "meta" forming and the fun is sucked away by the try hards.

Also, lose the padded options. Y or N suffices.

but at this point if Riot doesn't understand how cool that would be in normals I don't see why they would implement it in URF.

Honestly this all started with the juggernaut update and since then Rito has been going haywire adding new things almost every patch while refusing to remove bad things. Rito needs to take a little breather and start fixing things. Hopefully he immobile mage update will me the start of that.

Ascension has been my favorite mode to date. The only one that really feels like a whole different mode and not just gimmicky.

I honestly think there needs to be a featured gametype at all times. It doesnt have to be URF or PoroKing for 30 days straight, but a weekly rotation of all of the like would be fun and would help make Aram and Dominion atleast somewhat less dull.

I say they have monthly modes instead. have something to look forward to each year, like black market in the summer, and hexakill and doombots in the fall, and poro king in the winter and urf in the spring. they just need to come up with 12 game types and rotate them in a manner that makes sense.

I love this idea!

Not only that, they can do plenty to keep it fresh. They could rotate game modes every URF, so this friday would be normal URF. Next week could be all-for-one URF, the week after could be ARAM URF (random champions but Summoners Rift OR Howling Abyss), then the next week we could have Hexakill URF.

The options are endless, the fun would be insane. THAT is why it's a ludicrous idea that will not be considered,

We don't think permanent or even weekly URF would be a great experience in the long-term. We're just not sure the depth is there after the initial fun. It's a sugar rush for sure, but you can't just eat sugar (even hummingbirds don't do that). Bringing it back on a more regular cadence (more than once a year, but less than once a week) might work, and we did some of that in other regions.

Probably one day each month would be cool on like 13th of the friday or something, each week it would get tiring and repetitive.

I have better idea tho, why not put URF and Party rewards at the same time, people would stop with 5 man feeding while party rewards are active and people would be happier when they gain more IP while actually having fun! But I mean rito doesn't get any more monies from it.

I would love to see this, but it will never happen with Riots new leadership. Takes money to build this kind of stuff and yes they have it set up and can do it for a week, but that is very different than every friday or all the time. No I would love to see this be a week event for once a month or even someday add it in like ARAM was added. I think it is a great idea. Riot just wont ever spend the money on it.
