Plenty of champs got two release skins at once... cause they are old XD Riot stopped that years ago though cause they were mostly lower quality skins and now they can release one higher quality launch skin that tends to get a better response (not always though)

Because thats Riot's standards. The idea is cool but it creates a very dangerous path that Riot can now exploit. Why charge 290 RP for a chroma when they can now release recolors as actual skins and price them at 1350 rp instead?

Just watch. Future chromas are probably about to get a whole lot more expensive.

It's model is different too. So if you want both you're paying 1350 for one and 470 for the other.

Besides, it's vfx are probably different in both forms too.

They look quite similar with minor differences, and a recolor. Its basically a chroma. Different skin sets would be different themes, not black and white.

that's not "just a chroma" and again you only pay 470 for the second one (if the bundle is permanent, which i expect). So it's basically a 975 skin of a skin.

From what I undestand the other skin does have its own model(though it does look similar) and probably even differently colored Vfx. It only reuses the animations of the new skin.

And since bundles usually adjust their price you may not need to pay the full price for the second skin

It was confirmed to be 1350 for 1 and 1820 for both in a bundle. 470 RP for a 1350 skin is almost 66% off which is almost highway robbery.

It's fine to me. Blitz sure has a lot of skins but most of them are old/low quality. Plus if it's as a sort of replacement for Sewn Chaos (RIP never forget) we could maybe get a badass Amumu skin soon ?

At this point don't expect them to make a skin for a champ just because he needs one. They do make skin for popular champions because they are popular and if it's as badass as the Blitz here it's okay.

I mean sure unpopular champions would get their time, soon I hope ! But this won't stop them from keeping up with the popular ones too. Though it's true we could see unpopular ones put in first place.

This is fine I guess. Blitz just got a crap load of (really good) Battle Boss chromas a few weeks ago but two (count 'em, two) 1350 RP skins releasiing together is fine.

No Taliyah skin. No Illaoi skin. No Kled skin. No Ivern skin. No Camille skin.

But the millionth Yi, Blitz, and Ahri skin is fine.

I'm actually getting really sick of this.

We 'bitch' about this because Riot may be a business, but we are the customers. If they're doing something wrong, we have the right to tell them because we are giving them our money.

First of all you don't pay for the game. You didn't pay any fees to play the game and skin counts something outside the main game. It's cosmetic thing you can choose to buy that will not effect how to play the game.

No it is not wrong for Riot to make the biggest possible profit, but that isn't in our (the players) best interest. That is the interest of Riot. What is in the players best interest is getting skins for champions that they play. If the champions that I play don't get any skins, I will voice my opinion.

Maybe you don't care as much about skins as others, but that doesn't make the complaints of players who do care about skins any less valid. Skins are after all the what funds this game for Free2Play players like you. So before you call another's opinion dumb again, maybe you want to think about what you say first.

I don't play kled/illaoi/aurelion. Plenty of ppl don't. I do love me some blitzcrank though. However ATM to me his best skin s are riot, boom boom and Def not Blitz. This shit however is fucking rad.

I'm gonna state this again: most of yi's ski's are incredibly old and he had to wait 2 years before receiving his first modern skin.

Except Jhin didn't get two official skins within 6 months. The SKT skin was never planned from the get-go. It was Bang's choice, not Riot's, unlike Blood Moon. The skins Riot gives to champions are based on schedules. The Blood Moon event just so happened to come around near the same time that the Worlds 2016 skins were launched. So he only got one real skin and one non-official skin.

he still got 2 skins within 6 months. They knew which champ he wanted from the beginning of the season (i'd assume considering worlds is at the end of the season). and he still got the Bloodmoon skin.

He's got as much skins as jinx who's one of the champs i heard ppl cry about she got released 3 years earlier so can i start crying for more jinx skins.

Since 2015 yi has gotten 3 skins, 2 in 2017 but that's still a normal amount when looking at champions. Since jhin release he's gotten 2 so that's as much as his "official" skins as you like to say it. so completely fair apparantly. Just because the champion had 7 years extra to have skins created doesn't mean they're like "we need to make more yi skins lol fuck illaoi."

Popular champs will get more skins. The guy i responded to talked about the players' best interest. If 45/50 ppl like mister yi and 5/50 illaoi isn't it in more players' best interest to release a master yi skin? They clearly care about the other champions and are looking into giving them skins, high quality ones instead of 750 ones. as evident with the new Cass, viktor and yorick skins. Hell, even beekeeper singed because he got a 750 "keep the ppl satisfied skin" and an esports skin since 2013.

I don't understand why you're complaining so much. For at least the past few months, Riot's been very consistent in their skin releases - 1 or 2 skins for popular champs they know will sell plus 1 or 2 skins for unpopular "in need" champions they know won't sell well.

They've been cutting through the "in need" list pretty quickly with some nice skins, and have guaranteed skins for other specific champions like Illaoi. But they can't just make 20 skins in a row that they know may not even pay for themselves. They have to keep making skins for the popular champions at the same time so that they can actually earn money.

Also they are MOST LIKELY pushing the envelope on the "popular skins" now because they are about to lose A LOT of sales in the next few months due to the BE overhaul SEVERELY cutting down on champion sales. Riot IS a business and pretty much EVERY patch has come with an "unpopular" champion skin. Also, people are saying Riot "lied" about the "we are giving everyone skins who is due one within the year" when that was said I believe 6-8 months ago at the latest. It takes 6 months to make a skin, but people want "their" champion to somehow be pushed up the totem pole when that means your skin is arguably worse due to less production time, OR even worse they end up with a 750 RP skin because they wanted their skin NOW and not when it is a completed and fleshed out skin.

Sewn Chaos Blitzcrank was cancelled for these Blitzcrank Skins and that is EASILY the best trade-off I have seen.

They've released skins for Yorick Cassiopeia Viktor Singed Zyra and we've been promised skins for Taliyah Illaoi AurelionSol in the near future (From a nexus post when they promised Viktor, Cass and Yorick skins) I'd say less popular champs have been doing pretty well with skins recently

Goalkeeper (Retired)
Piltover Customs (Available)
iBlitzcrank (Available)
Definitely Not Blitzcrank (Seasonal/Retired)
Riot Blitzcrank (Occasional Giveaway Only/Retired)
Arcade Blitzcrank (Available)

Over half of Blitz's skin are unobtainable. It should also be noted that Arcade Blitz was August/September 2015, over two years ago. While I'd like for other champs to get skins, I'm not as frustrated as, say, Katarina getting another skin about a year after her last one.

More and more these days Riot has been looking into re-releasing Limited Edition skins, as seen with various sports/holiday skins, Championship Riven, the recent addition of Neo Pax Sivir (recolor of Pax Sivir) and now upcoming Urfwick. So, I'd say that Rusty "never coming back" isn't quite true. It's very possible we may see it available in the future in some way.

There is a difference between those skins you mentioned and Rusty Blitz. The skin wasn't discontinued because it was only available for a limited time in the store or at a PAX event. From what I could find, it was discontinued because Riot considered the skin to be too low of quality. That's why I say that Rusty Blitzcrank is never coming back.

Riot may re-release an improved version of that skin, but unless Blitzcrank gets a rework, and therefore all his skins get improved along with him, I don't see it happening.

Actually Rusty Blitzcrank is limited,meaning that at the moment,there is no way for you to get it. And I think this will most likely remain the case until Blitzcrank gets a visual update(which won't happen anytime soon)

Honestly he has a decent amount of good skins (Battle Boss, Riot, iBlitz, Piltover) and 2 chroma packs. He has a total of 3 1350rp skins. When you compare that to for example Trundle, who only has 750rp and lower skins, thats a lot.

Sure he could do with another good (fantasy themed) skin, but 2 skins is overkill. Even if the 2nd skin is just a glorified chroma.

I just consider iBlitzcrank and Battle Boss Blitzcrank as serious skins.

Riot gives him a moustache and an annoying siren and Piltover Customs has that honking melody, clearly joke skin for me.

You are right that 2 skins at once is overload though. I just hope that they continue this trend of going for both skins if they get the idea of 2 directions for the same skin in the future.

The way I see it, it was relatively easy to make a second skin based off the first one. With minimal effort, they created two skins instead of one. I don't think it took a lot of time and interrupted many other skins by that much. If they were completely different I would understand, but I think that this should really count as, like you said, a recolor/chroma, not a full skin, seeing as i'm pretty sure most of the models and animations were taken from the first and applied to the second (According to S@20)
