Did Leona just become obsolete?
Is there any reason to play Leona now when new Galio is 100x better at hard engaging with chain CC and tons of damage?

New Galio is not nearly as good at hard engaging my man. His only engage is his E. His ult due to the way it works can only be used once the fight starts. It's great for peeling.
Are you serious? She's like, number two for hard CC, has a modified auto attack attached to hard CC, and a massive defensive steroid. She's a monster and always will be.

If you have 40% cdr, your stun has a cooldown of 3 seconds. It lasts for 2 seconds. You're playing support, you're going to have 40% cdr or at least close to it (Assuming you're like me and have CDR runes). Add on top of that something like frost gauntlets, and you have the best CC auto attack in the game, in my opinion. Sure galio's teamfight CC is better, but that's in 5v5 fights. any other time? Leona will trump galio.
Galio doesn't get much defensive steroid, which you need to be able to engage and survive early on.

I don't see the connection, Leona's still a solid straight up CC lockdown queen for any situation. Galio's a lot less flexible, more reactive than active in what he does.
Lol? More like the other way round bud.
I didn't know that Galio exceled at single target lockdown and that if he E'd a squishy, the squishy would be most likely dead.
