OMG! You're level 234! It's your fault that I feed and suck in general!
Yes, somehow, that's the logic I'm encountering more and more lately...
And I'm starting to think that uncapping levels wasn't a great idea because it's just giving toxic people something else, as if they needed more, to fixate on when they want to deflect blame rather than look at their own bad gameplay and attitude and asking themselves how they could do better after they fail at everything against the much stronger opponent that Riot's "matchmaking" decided to give them.
And if it's support or AD who's having these problems because they're in way over their head, everything becomes the fault of their level 234 lane partner for failing to perform miracles I guess? When opponents actually control the lane, dodge skillshots, and use their abilities successfully because they... actually do the basics? I must be really bad if I'm LEVEL 234 OMG WTF but can't always stop other people from getting hit by everything and wandering straight into certain death repeatedly when they make no attempt to protect themselves? And then at the end of the game "HURRR DURR UR LEVEL 234 AND UR STILL SILVER OMG U SUKKKK". Well, yeah, that'll happen when you've only ever had one account because you're not a toxic douchebag who gets banned periodically and you don't do a lot of ranked games. The level 234 part anyway. The part where you go 1/13/2 because you faced opponents who were a lot better than you and you just kept doing the same things you always do, however, my level's got nothing to do with that. So why is it becoming a discussion topic so often recently?
Just put me at level 30 again please and take away all my mastery because I'm tired of scrublords getting distracted by them and using both as excuses to deflect blame. Not that they wouldn't find something else to fixate on. I'm just starting to find this one particularly baffling and increasingly common.
