Varus has all the damage and built utility that kaisa does, but has a way better lane ult (to win lane and team fights and everything really)

Varus can be nasty, yes, but he still takes time to percolate and is much easier to keep from reaching potential.

His damage also isn't easily split like Kaisa's, has actual pre 6 CC AND better pre 6 damage, and has the safety of his ult.

Can't duel anything, is completely reliant on his ult to do anything, useless when behind, can't snowball for shit, easiest ADC to dive because he has 0 defenses and a low AA range for a an immobile champion.

Is it tho? With Jax having 700 range gap closers and Irelia multiple dashes 575 range might as well be 525. There's even a bug where some champions (like vayne, MF) can hit Varus at his max range. You could reduce his range to 550 and it would make 0 difference. That bug has been there forever and Riot does not care
