Stop Abusing the "Enemy Missing" Signal For Questionable Plays!!!!!!!

You don't realise how badly this messes up your team. While you're spamming that shit as an ADC to your support for his questionable hook ,or grab, or whatever, as a jungler i'm thinking "oh, you see a gank incoming, I should get down there" only to realise i wasted 30 seconds going from the top side jungle to the bottom on to see your bot lane backed to base, and that no enemy ganks were incoming at all. Or maybe I will be mid and the jungler will spam it to the top that decided to risk it, and tower dive and now im thinking "shit my mid is dead or backed and you need help, here I come" so now instead of farming CS and putting damage on that mid tower im on a wild goose chase to try and help a bad situation that isn't happening. OR.... Maybe i'm the guy with those bad play's you don't like and you spam that on my lane as a mid and I think "oh your mid left and he is heading for me, better hug my tower" because i can't tell if your trying to warn me or give me shit.

Seriously, just use the chat box, because there to many ways someone can interpret that signal. It doesn't just affect the player you alert, it affects your entire team. Be smart about how you use it.

Not to mention what is the point of even question marking questionable plays in the first place? The vast majority of the time it was an honest mistake and chances are the player already knows their mistake. No need to shame them for it and frustrate them more.

I actually will mute all chat, pings and emotes for whole team if someone does this just once.

OP is 100% correct, pings are intended for strategy, not for trying to make others feel our wrath when we think they made a stupid play.

To me, almost every ping has double meaning.

-like danger ping is "Get the F out/Leave my lane/ stop csing my creeps. and your being collaped on. -The anon ping is when you wanna do questionable objectives, but when it goes bad you can say "Who made that ping. or just ping where you think the enemy are. -Omw is going here. or "I"M going IN, Witness MEEE!!!" -Assist me,is "Help" or "Why didn't you Heal/Shield/ Do anything"

I like these double meaning pings. I just dont like when people spam pings with no meaning behind them outside of being annoying.

I never do that shit while laning because I know how distracting it can be for other laners. I only land a couple of MIA pings when an enemy does a questionable play :p

Meh. I ping myself every time I miss a Fizz ulti (which some here believe is not possible so I probably deserve the spam ?) I think we need a specific "shit i missed" ping, but the emote of Burning Raka does the trick in the mean time.

At the end of the day there will always be flaming in this game because the match making is horrendous.

Yesterday, I had an adc in a game of gold/plats who hadn't played in 2 years. Seriously, he hadn't played the game in 2 years. He picks Jhin for the first time ever and hard feeds. He runs into the enemy tower at level 3 and dies. I spam ? ping him.

I can't just say "are you inting?". If I do I risk being dinged by the Liberal Safespace Report Bot System. So instead I just question mark ping him.

After the game I look him up and find out he just didn't belong in the match anyway. I feel bad for the guy. Not his fault Riot is a bunch of idiots.

How do you interpret "Enemy missing" pinged on a lane as there is a gank going in there rather than the enemy laners left there to gank elsewhere? I mean, you're right about morons misusing the ping, but that's still a weird interpretation.

Saying it in chat leads to a ban, saying it in lobby leads to a ban, pings are not counted. They don't need to be spammed but 1 "?" Ping is good enough to say that the play was questionable.

thank you! every time i go to a lane someone else is in (i dont call lanes but wont open that can of beans here) someone spams the shit out of the ? ping on me. i just tell them it dont mean shit to me and they can stop. but do they ever listen?
