Can't we at the very least just alternate between ARURF and regular URF?

Look some people prefer ARURF and some prefer regular URF, why not just keep both in the rotation? Why force us to go with just 1 over the other when we could just have both?

It's likely a majority prefer ARURF. A vocal minority will speak up against it, but people that enjoy it generally don't bother saying anything, as with most things.

my observation of queue times in ARURF compared to regular URF, as well as riot's data showing there's a huge dropoff in players shortly after URF is released generally because the mode got stale very fast.

que tones are way longer for arurf and that's not even counting half the que's being dodged because a player doesn't like the champ they got.

I've never noticed especially long queue timers for ARURF, even towards the end of the weekend.

How many years have we gone without URF? 2? More? I'm unsure how much "queue time observation" can even be validly cited, due to player base differences and the way regions are split, the way rito sets up queues behind the scenes, the champions and buff/nerf cycles, etc.

Now if we had ARURF this week and URF 'next' week, then one could do a comparison.

You're right, the 5ish days of URF (2 x 2.5 days) compaired to the 14 days the year before, and 14 days the year before. I don't think ARURF is the same game as URF etiher, because then ARAM wouldn't be special with specific items and etc.

You're right, we had urf the first time, then arurf the 2nd. last time we had ARURF was at the end of september, so about 5 months ago.

Actually its only been about 9.5 months. URF was last seen on 5-20-16 in RGM number 7. Now I agree I want URF over ARURF, but it wasn't been years.

every poll on every site ive seen including this one says the players here prefer urf over arurf by alot.

Polls that are viewed by and responded to by primarily Boards users, who comprise a very small minority of the player population. Unless one of the polls you saw was conducted by Riot through the client itself, I won't pay too much attention to them.

if they're afraid it divides the playerbase too much and causes long que times they can just like now make urf 2 weeks in a row and have 1 week be urf and the other week be arurf, that way no need to worry about the playerbase

I'd rather 10 people play OP URF champions for a semi-fair fight than have 5 enemies get A-S tier urf champions while my team gets shit like Aatrox and Anivia. I don't play ARAM because I hate RNG and I can't compete against ARAM smurfs. Coincidentally, a lot of the OP ARAM champions are OP on ARURF too, so there's already tons of smurf accounts out there.

Thats just retarded...why didnt ppl go play vs bots when urf was up, insted of complainning about "OP meta champs" meta exists even in normal rift, how d fk would they balance urf mode if they cant even balance the main game itself??

it's having fun abusing things at the expense of other people's enjoyment. You literally have fun by oppression other players with OP picks. In normals you are not oppressed into a corner because of too many lux E spams. This is why i say go play bots because i can't imagine a more desperate person wanting to win than those that wanna play 24/7 lux,shaco or whatever else oppresses any form of competitive play. Thus play bots, All random urf feels a lot more like home because you won't go into a premade of 5 oppressing champs. You may just end up walking vs 2 or just 3 of them. Ofcourse my main issue atm is that it's not all random it's just owned champion random which beats away some of the purpose.

okay simple solution, don't play regular URF and wait for ARURF to enter rotation. I get your point about the OP picks but really, the same thing happens in the normal game mode and in competitive play. Plus you have access to those same OP picks as the other team. yes you are right, ARURF does alleviate the OP picks situation, but at the cost of taking away a players choice and opting for an RNG system that may or may not screw you before the game begins, and a lot of players would rather take a fighting chance picking an OP pick against another than winning or losing at champion select. It's a personal preference issue. why no just have both mods and let everyone be happy?

Normal game mode is vastly different. You stand a far greater chance of fighting back in a normal game than one in urf were you're just forced to sit back and wait till it's over. And player choice is the whole problem, because player choice is was oppresses the opponents. Though you're right in sitting back and ignoring urf when it does happen i will always opt for All Random urf if it comes down to choosing 1 over the other. It's been far more interesting and fun than urf has ever been.

I personally would like to go back to plain URF with no AR added on. :/ Because despite it being "AR" I still see the enemy team getting all of the broken, busted picks and face rolling. I have literally seen Eve, Wukong, Fiora, Xin in at least half to 75% of my games. At least one of them always is on the enemy team. Where as I have yet gotten to play Nami or Eve or Sona or any of the champs I really want to play. :/
