I need a good assassin for ranked

I am having trouble against assassins in mid, considering I have no assassins myself I can get counter picked ez. So I need an assassin.

At first I thought maybe zed, but he gets banned too much. Anyone have other suggestions for me?

I find assassin vs assassin games to just turn into a snowball fest, where whichever assassin gets ahead ends up dominating for most of the game, unless the other assassin has some strong late-game/teamfight capability.

Play Chogath instead. He counters most assassins; his passive makes him difficult to poke into kill range, his ult makes him tanky and also very risky to jump on, his is constant harass in lane, and his silence wrecks most assassins.
