Leaving during a game.

Hello fellow summoners! I have been playing this game for a pretty long time and the issue of losses due to a teammate disconnecting or leaving during a game is still a very big problem encountered by many players, ( Not to hit any soft spots ) such as promos. I was wondering if there was any thoughts or any ideas you all and Rioters have on solving the issue. Many times have I had a good game going only to lose due to somebody leaving and wondering if there is any real way to stop this, please leave suggestions in the comments i would love to see them all!
