Personally I think there is an overreaction to the Lux buff

That's more a result of past experiences against her ult than an understanding of the champions current strength.

Actually you could say this about pretty much any negative reaction to a buff for a champion. You focus more on how that champion has impacted you negatively, so much that you blind yourself with bias.

Like with Lux's ult buff, my mind immediately goes back to a long time ago when I was much worse at the game and kept getting caught by Lux ults from bots. It's a harsh memory, but not enough to justify thinking that Lux is ok enough to not need buffs or heaven forbid somehow needs nerfs.

So let's just try and look at these changes objectively guys. Else we let our bias blind us from making informed decisions.

Or we can purposely let our bias blind us. Like how I view Katarina's ult getting a 15 second cooldown at max rank is insane and not in the good way.

That's almost a fact.

Personally, I object to the ultimate buff because I don't think they are buffing her in the correct manner. Her ultimate is pretty much always off cooldown late-game anyways due to its low base CD and CDR being a core stat on Lux.

If they want to buff her, I'd prefer one (or more) of the following options:

  • +5 MS (restore to previous value)
  • Casting W doesn't interrupt movement (chasing, escaping)
  • Slight increase to her passive's damage in early levels (improve last-hitting, pushing, trading)
  • Adjust the speed of her W (i.e. increasing speed the further it travels)

I could see these working. The last thing the game needs is more CDR imo.

I agree that Lux needs a minor buff, and I'm not a fan of how Riot chose to do so. It's not going to be OP at all, though I still expect to see is spammed. I do like either W not interrupting movement or adjusting her W speed. I'd like to see her W worked like Nami's bubble, where it'd take the same amount of time no matter the distance it travels, then it could be faster at max distance, while giving ability to dodge it at short range. This would be a buff when staying at range as Lux is meant to do but punish her when she's jumped on. Don't increase her passive damage at low lvls though please. I'd love it when I play her as support, but catching anyone but a tank support at lvl 3 already is a nearly guaranteed kill so long as my adc can do any damage to them.
