But we're not wrong here, you are, Riot.

There are a million reasons to create a sandbox mode, and every single one you've listed to not have it except for those involving development time or resources can be refuted without more than 5 seconds of thought.

Every reason you've given us to not have sandbox mode is complete and utter bullshit and that's a fact. But hey, it's your game. Please, feel free to alienate and ignore your playerbase. I'm sure that will go over well. Just look at Blizzard right now. WoW's down 4.4 million subscribers (nearly half) due to their blatant disregard for all feedback and player suggestions, and continuing to plow on ahead with their terrible ideas and design philosophy.

riot is mutilating half a dozen champions simultaneously and there's this large group of vocal, obnoxious children screaming about sandbox. it's so strange i think it's at least part conspiracy.

"Mutilation" is subject to change and further balance iterations. Coming out and saying "we don't think sandbox is the way to go" is much more concrete and shows a baffling disconnect between Riot and their playerbase. Even with Pwyff's further explanation of Riot's stance, nothing has changed despite a massive outcry from the community.

But please, continue to remain under the impression that those of us who want Riot to develop features present in literally every other competitive game that only help the longevity of said game do not also care about the state of balance that 4 champions will find themselves in come a few weeks. Naturally they are mutually exclusive.

I complained about that too. Its called multitasking, Riot has many different departments all trying to ruin different parts of the game simultaneously so we need to complain about all them.
