Let's talk about the jungle change
If I was a Rioter, I wouldn't have made scuttle such an impacting objective. It makes no sense to force teamfights over it because now one jungler gets more agency without competition. I literally left an enemy jungler at level 3 just because I took all the scuttles and he couldn't catch up since I invaded with my level and gold advantage.
It's ridiculous how the jungler relies so much on such a simple objective. Riot's goal was to reduce the jungler's early impact and allow laners more agency over their lanes. However, this fails because laners must now go help their jungler and the winning jungler gets more influence in the game still. It also means that the winning jungler can snowball the team with little competition.
Of course I have a different way to go about Riot's goals - else why would I make a criticism and complaint post?
I would have:
- Decreased camp spawn timers and bring back the two little things around blue/red buff
- Decrease red buff/blue buff duration
- Lower blue buff/red buff XP
- Increase craig damage and HP
- Increase the amount rock crabs split into/spawn by 2 more
- Make scuttle have a timer visible to both teams present on which side it will join(it will constantly have two on each side) without the XP buff and increase its vision duration while increasing its spawn timer
- Vision is more important than you think.
- Keep HP buff so junglers spend more time in jungle or for it to be contested
- Introduced support-jungler items
- Based on ward type, you will get a jungler item that allows the spawning of control wards or allows you to place wards
- Nerf some farm-heavy junglers early game like Shyvanna
So what does this do?
It causes junglers to have to farm more, meaning they have to wait a while to hit level 3 and since they take more damage from crabs/craigs - they also have to take more time. Since more camps spawn faster, it also means that if a jungler ganks and fails - they lose XP from a possible invasion. And you don't have the scuttle madness.
