Most of the chess games I've been in were over 30 minutes long.

Although, I've only played in 1.

That's like trying to get to an amusement park ride faster by getting out of line and going to the back. Just saying.

no, sometimes the launcher bugs out and you can wait in queue for hours and never get it because they forget you exist. which is why when the queue goes over 30 minutes i normally cancel it and reinitiate it just to make sure its not bugged. i do believe its either bugged or there is legit no one else online to play with me. both are possible to be honest. im not playing a level 30 account.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Only ever seen it about twice in six months, but now that you mention it, yeah, that's a thing. It's entirely possible there's just nobody in your level and MMR range on in your region right now, depending what mode you're playing and your champion role preferences.

ARAM NA level 23.

if i duo queue with a level 30 i instantly get a queue because they place me with levels 29 and 30s and its so much better, riot knows the account is a smurf, i dont know why they dont just place me against level 30s since they are aware im a smurf anyway.

My average queue is 1 minute. Occasionally, however, I have an 8 minute queue and then I remember that it's a fake one.

You have obviously not played speed chess, where each player has a total of 5 minutes. For all of their turns. Not each, ALL. First person to run out of that time loses. There are no pauses between turns. You quickly take your turn, press a button, and now the other person's timer starts running.

If you don't end the game in 12 or less moves, then you're doing it wrong.

Hardstuck G41 votes

Or, you know, you're playing against someone of equal skill level who is actually able to read moves ahead of time. Playing my brother, I end in 8 turns. Against my granddad, 18 is the usual length before one of us concedes.

Shows you how many people are quitting this game.

If you were really good you could play 5+ games in that time frame.

I can barely play two moves in that frame though.

5+ in 14 minutes.

What are you a chess god playing against a 2 year old?

Not me, but amazing to watch how fast pro chess goes.

Yeah, well that's one type of pro chess really.

Other non-speed pro chess games can take several hours, where the player think on their moves for 20+ minutes each.

Have u tried setting it to wumbo?

Sorry OP, the system is searching for a support and I stopped playing ranked because of dynamicQ.

Welcome to this game dying by horrible decisions and people leaving!

My average wait time for a NORMAL is 8min

Last season was 40 seconds.

Riot has really killed this game in S6, It's amazing how they fucked up so badly

Zeke Maelstorm2 votes

The queue times are determined by the number of supports available (Most of the time). It's not so much a flaw with new champ select as it is just bring to light a more pressing issue, which is that this game requires supports but nobody wants to play supports.

Tobias Brackner2 votes

Try playing supp.

eaglei31 votes

I find I play support most of the time just because I want to get into a game instantly and not wait 10 minutes to get top or mid. The waits are getting really frustrating depending on time of day. What really hurts is when you finally hear the acceptance box come up and someone doesn't accept. 5 more minutes of waiting.

KnowledgeArmada1 votes

I'm only in silver, and yesterday I waited 21 minutes in a jg/top queue :/

nice table1 votes

if riot told the players the actual "aprox queue time" no one would play the game anymore. just sitting here in a ranked queue for the past 40 minutes.

BornAgainVirgin1 votes

i fell asleep once, took like 30 minutes. i realized i could just be watching anime instead, but then i dont want to stop to play a game filled with rage ending in a 20minute ff

Nine Inches Deep1 votes

This is a sign, Riot hates everyone and wants us to, uh - buff Irelia?

Steven Mcburn1 votes

Lol I stopped playing 3 games a day the day it took me 14 minutes to find a game in fill, lose in 20 to a premade vs our solos, then queue up for specific roles only to have a series of dodges that extended the queue to 26 minutes; only to lose again in a 4+1v4+1 match where their 4 was significantly better than our 4.

I honestly hope this kills the game. Especially since they acknowledged it was a problem and did nothing about it. Ignore the fact this entire season has been a clustered mess of misguided balance changes, or the fact they just did a rework of an entire class/buff system that normally takes place in pre-seasons. The simple fact that people are having troubles getting in to play the game at all in a reasonable time frame shows they don't really care about their product anymore.

That's like a fundamental thing riot should've jumped on, and any played based company or a company where devs actually play the game would've done the same. They're not the rito we used to know and I hope they choke on the arrogance that lead them to think they could implement the same system, that every other major MOBA has tried to implement and removed, without fail under the pretense that "they were too small for it to work, we're much larger".

MÖRTIMER1 votes

yeah I think it helps to reset the queue, when mine goes over i just reset it and presto. match comes up. again im in silver so probably different, but have you at least tried resetting it

PiVoRx1 votes

As i said in one thread ago, solo players are quitting this game, thus queue times keeps growing cause there are not enough solo playyers to fill premades.

CppL1 votes

The worst part is you sit in Q for like 20 mins ,and after that you still get matched against premades...Unreal.

TallyZrg1 votes

I've been playing Agar.io while I wait on my queue to pop nowadays. I try to get as large as I can and when the game actually loads is when I gift my earned points to another player so that I can play league.
