OMG I WENT LIKE 17/2 AND LOST, THIS ELO IS FULL OF NOOBS.

Except, going 17-2 doesnt show you are good. it just shows you completely demolished your lane opponent, farmed him the whole game, but he was pretty worthless after you got the first 3 kills on him. at that point your laning opponent has no chance of catching back up to you unless the game lags into the 50 minute mark where everyone is a 6 item champion anyway.

but you still lost, because while you were busy farming the baddie you were against you forgot you have a top and bottom lane as well. and they were outmatched.

you probably would of won the game if you went 8/2 instead of 17/2, and you got 3 kills on your lane opponent, then 5 others from ganks in bot and top lane.

it would of been even better if out of the 3 kills you would of gotten on your lane opponent, you would of invited your jungler to come kill him once, so your kda would be around maybe 7/2/1 at end of laning phase.

because you would of helped your jungler get a bit more gold too.

even terrible players, if given enough of a head start will stand their ground against oppresive lane opponents. but if you just farm one champion in your lane all game and expect to win because you went 17/2 its likely not going to happen.

you are 20% of the success of the game. you cant win something if you only have 20% success.

What if you're a jungler? And you maintain a 5-8kda and over 58%Kill participation for over 100 games straight? Because that's what I've been at. Actually stuck in elo hell is possible. Even with a 56% win rate like everyone likes to throw around. -90-99lp -Shit players -Team game -Smurfs -Unranked players -People going in 2-5v1 for 20minutes straight -Afks -trolls -ragers -Elo system created for chess and not ever adjusted to league How many reasons can you give me for that elo hell doesn't exist?

If you have 17 kills, you probably roamed If it was low elo, the jgler and/or other laners probably helped too. Some games are simply uncarryable. You help your team as much as you can. They're still incompetent and lose. You do the exact same thing with new teammates, and it's a pubstomp game. Just a gamble to see who the teammates are.

I maintain that the scoreboard should be hidden in game. It generates a significant amount of toxicity. And ultimately, it's pointless. Since it's not kills that win games.

Kill participation > Kills. Sums it up in a phrase.

All kills no push = loss. I dont how many times ive watched a team throw a game because they chased enemies around the map while ignoring turret, all the while having a large kill lead. Its frustrating.

recently lost a game with S- and have lost a game with an S+ before some games are just more difficult to carry than others

by the way, a math correction: you are actually 10% of the success of the game - not all opponents are the same unless you are playing bots.

I don't know, I'm pretty sure this makes me good: http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2258082010/47513343?tab=overview

tfw your team does their best to lose the game

you are 20% of the success of the game. you cant win something if you only have 20% success.

How about 49% of the success of the game? Where your team can't manage the other 2%

I stay top and take the first tower, roam and kill, but if you the only person with kills on your team (say 13/2/) and the rest of your team is just feeders so the score is 13 VS 40, How the hell can you carry that?

MonkeyMadness8/22/2016, 9:39:04 PM1 votes

Ok, normally I'd agree with you and say that there are much more important things than KDA. But if you are really 17/2 and still lose, something really bad happened. Either the enemy team outplayed you in a late game teamfight and ended up pushing to win on an incredible/lucky ace, or someone else (or multiple people) on your team fed pretty fkin hard. 17/2 means that not only are you getting a shitload of gold, but you also aren't giving it back by letting the enemy team get shutdown gold. Sure, maybe they got it twice, but with 17 kills that shutdown gold won't give them the edge they need to take you down. Another thing that is very likely is that there are also at least some assists with those 17 kills. It's actually kind of difficult to singlehandedly score every kill in the game, so it's like that if you really are dominating this hard, you have some assists where your teammates managed to score the last hit, and they probably have some assists on your kills as well. Bottom line is this: 90% of the time or more, if you have a KDA like this, you deserve the win, and losing is usually due to a fuck up on your team (usually 1 or more people that are not carrying their weight, resulting in roughly equal team gold).

Also, and this is very important: NEVER ACTIVELY TRY TO DONATE KILLS. THIS IS HOW YOU LOSE GAMES IN SOLO QUEUE. Unless you are in voice chat, just try to secure the kill. If you see a dot on the enemy, sure you can off and let your teammate get it, but unless you are 110% sure that the enemy is going to die, take the kill. Better to "kill steal" and have your ally get the assist then the enemy getting away. Also, there's something to be said about carrying the game on your own, especially in lower elos. If you believe you are good and that you belong in higher elo, take the kills, take the cs, get all the gold, and carry the game solo while your teammates support you. That is how pro players get out of low elo on their smurfs.

I once went 12-4 and lost because I was Riven (I roamed but team didn't push or go for objectives after we killed their laners) and the enemy team focused me down in team fights. Got 4 kills from my lane, then roamed. Sometimes the elo is just full of people who think it's TDM.
