Seriously, why is this a thing? I'm trying to brush juke him but because he's trying to finish me off with his ult I end up getting into the brush and awkwardly stutter stepping. This went on for like 7 seconds before I finally just gave up and let him kill me because his Q's up already thanks to all the time he unwittingly bought and that's just something I don't have the energy to attempt to dodge after that fiasco.

So you can either leave the .25 second root to make up for the cast time or remove the cast time. Removing the cast time would make R flashes impossible but it would also give you even less time for potential shields and other life saving abilities. Which would you prefer?

His ult mini-roots. Had it not been for that mini-root, I'd have juked his ult and went my way to freedom. Instead, I get outplayed by outplaying myself because of a piece of code and die miserably.

No, I'm talking about it being a targetted spell that roots on cast. Cho'Gath's Feast doesn't root you does it? Same goes for Garen's ult. Also, these very spells can be cancelled by getting out their field of vision just as the cast is going off, I did the same to Lee but even though I got out just in time, I still ended up being rooted for a half second "just cuz."
