An Idea to balance kogmaw

Dracocrash··3 votes·438 views

Current W -When kogmaws KogMaw W is active his attacks do 55% ad (so by definition crits do 110%), he gets double attack speed and he gets flat magic damage and % hp damage.

Proposed W -When kogmaws KogMaw W is active his attacks do 55% ad (but crits do 150%), he gets double attack speed and gets flat magic damage and % hp damage BUT onhit effects are only applied for 60% of their damage.

This basically ruins onhit kogmaw KogMaw that rushes wits end, and encourages crit kogmaw. This way he will ACTUALLY be weak early and will need 3-4 items to spike.

The numbers can be changed, what im saying is nerf onhit kogmaw and encourage crit kogmaw.

Kog'maws KogMaw main problem arises from the fact that all his power is allocated to his W. Riot will never change that cause they are stuck up about reverting changes

That wouldnt be balanced, noone wants to see a kogmaw crit for 600s in 4~ attack speed

A full build kog'maw that has to build a balance of both attack speed , attack damage and crit will have about 250 ad. critting for 375 with the proposed numbers. Also I made it clear that the numbers were rough, the idea is to make crit>onhit.

It will also be easier to itemize against since there will be less magic damage to worry about.

375 damage before adding the %hp damage and on-hits from things like BotRK of course.

Let me repeat myself "Also I made it clear that the numbers were rough, the idea is to make crit>onhit."

that wouldn't make a difference. your taking damage from on hit and putting in crit. whats the difference. he still shreds the tankiest tanks in give or take 2-3 seconds

The diffrence is, he needs more than 1 item to spike. Right now kog'maw can get a wits end and 1v1 or 2v2 almost every matchup. To work with crit U need a mix of AD and AS. It will take more time to spike. So he will shred them BUT only later into the game, as a late game hyper carry, not a 1 item snowball machine.
