A previously strong champ @meddler

Kassadin a previously strong champ is now total garbage

HIs E is a long cool down ? check low base damages 180 at max rank Same for 8 and his W cool down is ........... 14 seconds I believe. 140 max rank damage his scalings are meh

I think kassadin needs 3 things to get him to the spot where we need to be balanced neither weak nor to strong just in the middle with outplay potential and a fun KIT

  1. since his base damages are low give him mana scalings ( like his ult)
  2. lower the slow on his E no reason it should be that strong at 90% and exchange that by either taking off the charges or letting the damage stack through charges . 3 Make his entire kit Rep based like his ult so this way he makes up for his low base damages by being tanky enough and having enough CD reduction to be able to hurt more. Has it cost more mana to do his ult multiple times make his Q W E scale the same but for his W it could be each basic attack and his Q can get charged similar to megamans blast and maybe when it reaches full charge it silences but make it a skillshot

Totally agree. Kassadin wins lane against no one. Really, no- one. His winrate becomes 50% only when the game is at 40minutes or longer. That's full build. There are NO other champions that need 6 items to be viable. How are you even supposed to get 6 items when you deal no damage?

Why does Riot ignore pleads for buffs, while doing unnecessary work on others?

Let's collect all Dragon Balls and wish for Kassadin and Aatrox to be viable.

Kassadin is NOT a counterpick with his ignorable base damages. He will NEVER bully any champion in the entire game early till midgame, thats just bullshit. The reason he got nerfed into oblivion is that his kit was (and still would be if we would buff him back) way too strong when mastered. He basically decides when he wants to trade with his ult and his kit is very forgiving. And if the enemy team missplays one time he can push an engage as well, he has too many tools to decide the flow of the game. Thats why riot kept nerfing his stats till he was considered " meh" in proplay, he still saw play on toplane from time to time with success, he obviously is still playable.

It's insane how much a champion with an ungated flash has to give up for it

Kassadins pretty weak right now, but buffing him doesn't fix any of his problems

Ezreal gets by. Ezreal and Kassadin both have Flashes that are gated by Cooldown, and Mana. Since Kassadin's Flash is his ultimate ability, it gets to have a hyper low cooldown. However, because that Flash has a super low cooldown, the rest of his kit has to be balanced around it and given shitty base damages and scalings. Pretty paradoxical, isn't it? Kassadin gets a spammable flash and subpar kit, Ezreal gets a flash with a decent cooldown but a kit that works pretty well with itself

That's a fair comparison, but I wouldn't think ezreal is a shining of good scaling or good base values, his core item triforce helps him a lot but ez does not scale particularly well especially for an adc

But no I see your point, ez is in a better place then Kassadin and it seems strange that kassadins mini flash hurts his power budget so much more thrn ezreals does.

Honestly Kassadin technically exists as he's supposed to for the most part, as a counter pick. Is he a bit weak for a counter pick? Sure he is, but he still functions fairly well as a counter pick.

Diana does his job better while countering him

Serevas1 votes

No arguments there, but Diana definitely isn't one I'd pick Kassadin into anyway. One of Kassadin's problems is that he's a counter pick to champions that largely aren't picked anyway.

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

What is he a counterpick to?

Serevas1 votes

Most poke mages, and some of the lower damage mages like Kennen and Lissandra.

ZT Xperimentor1 votes

Kennen I can see why, but lissandra? She came across more like a close range control mage with her area slows; but haven't seen her outside of aram so it's hard to tell. I'd like to see him viable against azir though, but his blink has been nerfed so hard he'd have to waste flash too just to get close enough for an autoattack.

LOL pretty much lissandra is an ez match up kennen is hard for him

I do find it hypocritical that he lost his silence, and had his ult's range halved and doubled mana cost; while talon lost his silence as well, he got a brief slow as compensation, which still synergies with his passive to deal more damage to anyone that's crowd controlled. Kassadin's blink is a small area of effect, but has abysmal scaling and still will leave him in front most champions that are kiting him; talon's blink consistently places him behind them, which is almost always the blind spot for any projectile abilities.

I'm not disproving you; I'm disgusted at riot's blatant favoritism.

Can't give mana scalings to all his abilities. That's Ryze's thing.

Can't give him spammable AP DPS. That's Cass's thing.

Can't let him build tank and still be effective. He's an assassin.

Evelynn builds tank and still effective Ekko Builds tank and still effective while being an assassin AP dps for cass while swain does the same :C but giving him mana scaling on his abilities is just to common to be used

Tank Ekko was never intended to be a thing and was nerfed, though it's still effective because assassins have high base damages by default and Ekko's abilities have enough utility to desire him staying alive longer. Just because we have one tank assassin with an overloaded kit doesn't mean we should keep that up.

Evelynn is only "effective" because there is no way to protect yourself against being ganked. It doesn't really matter what she builds, as long as you're in solo queue you win because no one can see you coming.

In the laning phase? Generally not. Especially in mid lane.

First off, Ekko's base damages are not good. Anybody who plays Tank Ekko and tries to dive the ADC realizes this when they barely get any damage off on them compared to the damage coming in on them.

Secondly, Ekko works as a tank because he can catch people out better than most relevant tanks are even able to do. And his teamfighting isn't half bad either, with that big AOE stun and the ability to soak up a shit load of damage before popping ult and recovering back a percentage of it, which can also act as disengage if Ekko gets a bad engage. doesn't hurt that he's also more mobile than alot of tanks.
