My Thoughts on Fizz

Please buff his late game at least back to what it used to be. I understand assassins fall off but it shouldn't be so feast/famine. You have basically no chance to sit there and wait for W after 2 seconds in a late game fight. It's such an awkward idea.

You're also incredibly dependent on landing a fairly easy to dodge ultimate (which can also be blocked or QSSd) and champions so reliant on a single ability nearly always have major issues in terms of either strength or perceived game health. If that one ability is incredibly strong to compensate for the high unreliability, people get mad when blown up by it and think "Wow, that's so busted!!! How is this possible!!??". On the other hand, if it's dodged, they just think "Of course I dodged it; I"m a god and this Fizz is bad." Thus, what happens is that said champion starts getting banned a lot and people with bad experiences bandwagon on the "busted" train because they selectively remember the highlight reels etc. instead of how most games actually go.

I used to play a lot of Fizz but I just find his kit clunky and less fun now. I know people hated playing against him pre-rework but he feels just as useless as Kassadin now. What's the point of playing a melee champion with a shit lane phase if you also fall off so hard late game and just generally have other champions do your job just as well without those penalties. A LB can one-shot an ADC in the same way as Fizz without putting herself in anywhere near as much danger or slogging through a shit lane phase. Syndra can too from a massive range albeit with potentially more danger to herself. Ahri can also pull off the same role as Fizz while having again a better lane phase, safer waveclear and the ability to poke too. Fizz has no objective purpose right now and as competitive proved, was never really all that strong despite the complaining.

Fairly easy to dodge ult is very deceptive. Seen it plenty of times do hilarious curves that make no sense.

fairly easy to dodge ultimate

I stopped reading here.

If you can't land a skillshot with a 450 range and 1300 missile speed, you have no place questioning or suggesting balance updates.

Used to he didn't have a whole lot of bite but at the very least he had consistent damage. Now, he has a massive bite but nothing to really follow it up with. After mastering the old fizz and comparing him with the new fizz all he needed in the first place was a better W active and a new passive.

Change the passive.

Keep the current W active but retain the old W DoT. However, change it so that the DoT feeds on AP scaling alone with no base damage so we don't run back into the same problems.

Also make his ult a finishing tool, not a engage tool.

Fizz's theme and kit would fit MUCH better with a hit and run assassin over a knock off initiator. Lead in with a Q or a combo between E and Q, land a W active, then plant your ult on your target before escaping as your ult finishes them off. That would fit in way better.

You can't QSS the ultimate. You can QSS the slow but you'll still get hit with the ulti.

As a big Fizz enthusiast (he was my most-played champion last season by far) I feel like he's just gimmicky right now. His lane phase is braindead easy, but he falls of hard.
