I understand why they nerfed it for AD but it was a core and HIGHLY skill based ability for AP MF. Why nerf it across the board?
Other champs with mixed damage got nerfs to base damage BUT increase ap scaling. Is it so wrong to simply increase AP scaling to break even at 200 AP and exceed past that?
RogueWill3 votesMF Ap scaling is a left over from the old days when RITO didn't know what a good spot for the champions woudl be so they woudl give random scaling and let the players figure out the best way to build them. That's why you see a lot of old champion with random AP and AD scaling on abilities that doesn't make sense at all. That's why master yi had 400% scaling on his heal and AP scaling on his Q (pre-rework) same reason why tryndamere has AP scaling or old tristana or old sion.

Mysticman891 votesI'm pretty sure nearer the time of that nerf a rioter basically said they hadn't considered the impact on AP MF and it wasn't their intent to hurt that particular build. Obviously there hasn't been any follow up changes to that so it's apparently not high on their priority list if they ever do want to add more ap scaling to it.
