Win streaks -> Loss streaks -> Win streaks...

For a long time now, my ranked experience has been a series of wins followed immediately by a series of nearly unavoidable losses. Like, over and over again. If I'm on a 5 game win streak, I'm eventually bound to hit a road bump of 3-5 losses soon after. The reason why I'm making a thread on it is that it happens so consistently that it's almost mind boggling. Even if I end the day on a win, the next session I lose like 2-3 in a row. It just picks up where it left off, and it's starting to make me think that if I go on a win streak, the game purposefully puts me with those more likely to lose to balance out the odds. My recent ranked match history is pretty much patterns of green and red in groups of 3-5 at this point, save a few instances.

Anywho, does anyone else have this same problem? It's really difficult to climb when you only get good team mates for so long before they bring on the heavy stuff.

See the problem you're having, and most people are having is they 1. Don't use consistent wins to rank you up it's win streaks, and that's good for you, but the other problem is 2. They have promotions. As if winning enough games to rank up wasn't hard enough. You have to win another 2 games, and then you get to the next rank. Probably worst thing Riot has done about the ranking system.

Although I play only normals its same for me and I call it BS. Sometimes I feel like Riot decides that who wins who loses.

after you lose 2 games, stop. take a break. or if you always look at your match history and think it matters that much that it effects the game you are about to play, just dont look at your match history dont focus on the wins or the loses, focus on doing and getting better and league.

I actually did that yesterday. I hit promos and lost out, and I told myself "I'm done for now. I'll just win back in tomorrow". Came back today and:

-Lost my first 1 -Won my next 3 -Lost my next 2

Connecting them together, it's literally 1:1 between two days, then I lost 2. I don't wanna believe in superstition, but sometimes I feel something's up with how they balance teams before matches start. Especially when I get multiple inefficient team mates in a row.

Don't worry though. I'm still focusing on me and my play first and foremost. The bellyaching comes after I'm real with myself.
