Change is Scary.
As it stands 67 million people play LOL per month. I for one will accept that change will continue to happen and, although it will look scary as hell, I have faith that it will work out alright. Am I comfortable with all these announcements and changes for season 6? Hell no, but I am willing to try it and see what happens. I can see good in these changes which I feel many people over look in their race to rage at what they don't know. I will probably receive many down votes for this post but I hope at least some of you read this and realize that, although change is probably the single scariest force on the planet, it inevitably brings about progress and understanding. Whatever the outcome LOL will be better for it once the dust settles and each player in this game comes to a better understanding of how the changes effect them. I applaud Riot for pursuing such innovation and I will continue to hope they push the boundary with every patch, learning from both their successes and their mistakes, and continuing to develop a game which I enjoy playing with so many other talented people.
To honor Riot I will refrain from QQing (anymore) about these changes (at least until I experience them first hand) and I will instead mention one thing I am looking forward to. I hope others will follow my example and share what they are also looking forward to with the new season on the horizon.
I am really looking forward to Clubs and having an easier time finding people that share my interests while playing LOL. I really believe that this simple system will help create a friendlier environment for both new and old players alike. I plan to make the "Parents United" Club for dads and moms that have super chaotic schedules that would like to team up with others but just can't commit to any specific time due to work/kids/college. I just need to hope no one steals my thunder!
