Idea to improve Quinn's W
Ashe's reveal is now much better than Quinn's, yet still very similar. I realize Quinn's W has a passive effect, but I had an idea that might make it more... interesting as an active.
The Concept: Heightened Senses' active effect now sends Valor to a nearby location. Valor circles that location in roughly the radius of a ward (possibly increasing as you level the ability. Valor remains here indefinitely, revealing all that would normally be revealed by a green ward. If Valor's path goes over a bush, that bush is also revealed, but Valor wouldn't reveal wards, traps or stealthed enemies.
Keen placement would allow one to cover several areas, as Valor would be able to see over walls. However, it should be noted that anything - be it in a bush or over a wall - not within Valor's flight path wouldn't be visible.
The Balancing Factor p. 1: Valor can't be attacked or otherwise negated by the enemy team, but CAN be seen by the enemy team at all times, so they'll know they're being watched right away.
The Balancing Factor p. 2: I saw two primary options, and they might even both work together. The first is straightforward; the cooldown is big. Maybe ~180 seconds or more. So you can't just fling him around at will to act as a mobile ward where and whenever you want him. The second option ties into my next point:
Interaction with Passive: There are a few options here as well. Either it NEVER triggers while Valor is acting like a ward (in this case, perhaps reactivating W would recall him and activate the cooldown)... or it only triggers within a certain radius of a deployed Valor's flight path. Possibly even _within _ the flight path and nothing more. Of course, one could elect to not use him as a ward at all so the passive can trigger whenever and wherever Quinn needs it.
Perhaps the nature of the passive changes; it no longer triggers as normal, but triggers more frequently within his flight path or triggers on ALL enemies within the radius of his flight path simultaneously when it does. Maybe it slows enemies within the flight path instead, or marks them as soon as they enter with no cooldown, but only once per trip into the flight path. This would give Quinn more escape potential too; she could deploy Valor along an escape route and enemies would be loathe to pass right into it, or would be slowed for doing so. (This slow would be slight; maybe 20% max.)
Interaction with Blinding Assault: Much like the above, though in this case, I figure it would definitely be a case of Q being usable within a certain distance of a deployed Valor. Alternatively, Valor could physically fly up and off the map from his location and the Q would trigger as normal, and then Valor would fly from Quinn back to his deployed position. (This may take some time if she's a long way across the map, but using Q again would reset the animation even if he's still en route to his deployment position.)
Interaction with Vault: I don't think Valor's animation is vital here. The idea could very well be that Quinn herself kicks her opponent to break their guard, and thus, Vault would trigger her passive regardless of Valor's deployment.
Interaction with Tag Team: There's an easy way to do this. Valor disappears from his deployment spot and reappears in place of Quinn. Then there's the more interesting way. Quinn jumps up and off the screen, and the player controls a now enlarged Valor wherever he currently is. If he's not deployed, it works as it always has. If he is, the player's camera jumps to Valor's position on the map.
This would give Quinn further escape AND chase potential, allowing her to deploy Valor in front of fleeing enemies or over a wall and then ult to his position. To balance this, given that Valor could potentially be ANYWHERE on the map when Quinn ults... First, up the cooldown a bit. Second, perhaps give it a two second delay on activation when Valor is deployed. Better yet, scale the delay from 0.5 to 4 seconds depending on Quinn's distance from Valor when she activates the ult.
Whatever the case, Valor would no longer be deployed when the ult ends.
Interaction with Heightened Senses Active as Valor: It works as normal. Temporary reveal, plain and simple. If the option to change the nature of Quinn's passive when Valor is deployed is chosen, maybe it could even proc the new passive effect. Everyone within the radius of the reveal is instantly marked or slowed. Just an option.
So those are just my thoughts on the matter. I've never felt like Quinn's W was particularly useful except in very rare cases, and with Ashe's global 5-second reveal and two charges, it seems even MORE useless these days.
