And it was SO hard balancing Vayne just because of this. I remember them nerfing or buffing her W almost every single patch because it was dealing either too much damage or too Little.
Now EVERYONE can do true damage. Yi deals WAY too much true damage, yet he is completely ignored, and has been for a long time.

Kai Guy1 votesThe True on Irelia, her sustain, tenacity passive created the "better nerf irelia" Cho R erases folks and when he is in a good spot its been obnoxious. Yii, I get IE and Keystone add to his now, but he has been a pub stomper any time he is viable.
Honestly all sides olaf them have been troublesome with their True damage being a part of that. Olaf when he is a problem its usually due to his R or his ability to decimate folks in lane with Q and sustain, rather then the hunk of true damage from his E.
TrikzterzArma1 votesI'm talking about many years ago. Irelia didn't deal THAT much true damage, Yi didn't deal true damage with his E, Olaf didn't deal that much true damage, and neither did Cho.
I'm simply talking about the true damage being dished out, nothing else.
Kai Guy1 votesI recall early ire doing a good deal of true damage, but yes your correct that yii did not have it, I believe it was 2013 they changed him to have it in his kit. Memory serves his E used to give free AD, could activate for extra, but was down when it was on cd.
