Looking for confirmation about Ivern

I've been told that enemy champions who step inside of Ivern's grove will cause it to break.

The LoLWikia page makes no mention of this and I have yet to see any gameplay on YouTube that demonstrates this.

The ability details for his passive does state,

Friend of the Forest can be used while in combat and the channel can only be interrupted by (Silence icon) interrupted crowd control effects (or Ivern's death). Once the grove is placed, Smite can be used to instantly claim the camp. All this can be done even if the camp is in combat with another ally or enemy champion.

This actually suggests that Ivern can create a grove in mid combat, and that doing so can not be interrupted by combat, including enemy positioning. It does not say anything about after the grove is created.
