Hope to god the Shaco player is a legit bonobo.

If you can remember to not tunnel vision on just your champion in the game and think "okay there's an assassin on their team who we recently saw on a ward near here. Where would I go if I were them?", then you'll be more successful.

I hate invisibility on a lot of champions like vayne or kha zix, but shacos isn't that bad since it's his gap closer and he can only use it once.

When it is a good shaco player, honestly it is best to freeze lane so you have tower safety and hope you have a good jungler.

Don't control wards show him? And sweepers? I myself hate Shaco and any other invis champs because they are bullshit. If you play Shaco, it tells me that you are a coward that needs to have an unfair advantage.

Same goes for you, Rogue players.

Sweepers yes, but we have to be fairly close, control wards no, he has invisibility like khazix.

My problem with sweepers is that i actually have to expect him coming, but in the instance i can actually see him id ping my adc back and we'd just back off.

Don't let him backstab you, use control wards when you see him drop a box maybe? Cleanse in the case you don't have a control ward/sweeper up, look for puffs of smoke even in the fog of war, etc etc. You know what he's gonna do, at least early he's gonna try to get behind you, place a box, and backstab+ignite you. You can cleanse ignite, and his boxes.

I have played a lot of Shaco, but people are free to correct me if I'm mistaken.

Well most of Shaco's interactions are based around his build, if he's going more AP oriented and doesn't have hextech at all (Idk why he wouldn't but some don't.) Then he's going to be baiting you more than actually fighting you head on.

If he's AP and has hextech stuff/lichbane/etc. Things that improve his initial all-in capabilities then he'll go in and try to distract you while the enemy picks off people from the sidelines and etc. To this Shaco his death only means that you weren't focusing the right target and everything is now disrupted (for a good shaco.)

If he's AD and jungle then he's going to be positioning boxes for baits only to hit your back line when you're thinking he's hiding somewhere else, more often than not if you get hit by a box he's on the move because there's already at least 1 player CC'd and that gives him a huge gateway into the backline, especially with people in general being cautious of that area- it's almost like herding. Primarily I see Jungle shacos use this to push people into up river fights which as most people know end badly- fighting up river is annoying and there's too many blind spots- so vision is especially important mid to late game. Early game I understand warding your camps but you have to keep the vision up or he'll overwhelm you with superiority of being able to be multiple places all over the map quickly.

If he's AD and going completely assassin you're going to have to run Red trink- if you see a Shaco in draft pick I'd always suggest getting some kind of root or snare champion like Maokai or etc to stop him from destroying your backline. Assassins are assassins and will always pick off your squishy targets. You're primarily a support yes? You're going to have to pack red trink, I'd recommend getting more tankier champions when facing them when you are in draft- again if it's soloque; just gotta keep areas warded as much as possible and try to stay with your team/keep your carry safe. If you start to feel like you're overextending you should ping care and start pulling back. Just saying "Shaco" and then heading backwards usually gives people enough of a heads up that they start to head back to safer lines. Map awareness is key.

The biggest problem with Shaco from what I've seen playing as Shaco is a lot of people overestimate their own damage against him and end up dying because of it, reminding people before the game start to try to look for Shaco baits may improve overall morale and gameplay from people if they have that in mind. I personally really enjoy playing him, but I know it can be hard for people that don't know the in and outs of his kit to really fight him. If you have any other questions let me know.

Something I always try to do is put some kind of mark on him before he uses his ult. Some champions have abilities that mark like Nautilus passive, Mordekaiser R, Yasuo E, and Brand passive or you can use exhaust or ignite on him.
