ya know, when someone gets fed....

why does everyone say "my team sucks" rather then thinking maybe the enemy is just good?

Because i refuse to believe that someone couldn't not go 0/17 in top without not knowing what the hell they are doing

It is human nature to find excuse for failure than to admit defeat.

Well theoretically, everyone in game is supposed to be at the same skill level (at least in Ranked). So while you may not win lane, it doesn't mean you have to die 10 times. Feeding is not being out-played it is playing bad. Even if someone is way better than you it is possible to not feed, you won't be as useful as them but at least they are not super fed.

I am not saying I agree 100% with that, we all have those games, but generally if you are feeding its because you are playing really bad.

Marothennan5 votes

Doesn't that theoretically mean that they suck compared to the enemies?

FOR JUSTICE2 votes

relatively speaking yeah, but what im getting at is the first assumption is that there ally is complete garbage, and that they compared to the one complaining arent playing in the same skill level. cause i mean, you dont nessiserily have to suck to lose, just suck more then your opponent.

but how many consider: "hmmm.... maybe my gold toplaner lost because his opponent is playing at a plat 3 level"

My Waifu Vanilla2 votes

Then they should respect that. I'm sorry but any death over 2 in lane is feeding and 100% on you. I'm tired of my 0/2 top laner engaging on the 2/0 top laner who has 30+ cs on them and then complaining about how the jungler is useless or whatever. No, everyone wants to play the 1v9 hero and make big plays so when they make terrible decisions they won't take responsibility themselves and instead blame the champion or someone else. "omg I'm getting camped where is my jungler???????" meanwhile you are constantly using Sion Q and E on the wave pushing to the tower with a vision score of 1 at 15 minutes while being 0/4. Jungler's fault though.

yes.. it does. or it just means the player isn't playing one of he broken op champs and his opponent is.

It is because I have eyeballs, I can watch my AP MF mid flash into a Zed miss her ult and then die, at which point you can't say anything to her or you'll get banned cause she isn't inting, she's just having a bad game

tfw the adc tries to flash out of a Zed ult after it's been on her for an entire second already

Probably because no amount of skill will get you a huge amount of kills in a short period of time unless the enemy team or laner is bad/made mistakes.

Its extremely easy to avoid repeatedly dying in this game is you play properly. Look at pro games where most of the time the total number of kills/death is very low.

Even games with Faker, who was widely considered the best LoL player, you almost never see games where he has like 10 kills at 10 minutes even when he massively outmatched the other mid laner. When he gets solo kills in lane you almost never see him repeatedly farm the enemy laner over and over, because they are smart enough and good enough to play cautiously at that point.

I'm not sure professionals are a good example on what is considered "easy."

Oh wow I average 4 deaths throughout the entire season. Like it isn't hard to not die. People take too many unnecessary risks and then get punished for it and then go on feeding sprees because they tilt and make terrible judgment calls.

IcyPepper1 votes

Yeah that's true. It's just the example was a little... exaggerated, I guess?

And there is the possibility that you're just good at not dying. There are some games I recall struggling not to die despite my better efforts, sometimes due to a poor champion pick or just being off-balance all game.

It would have been kind of funny, I admit, to see Faker ‘farm’ an enemy player.

Jatt: Oh no, here he comes again! Kobe: Watch our! It’s Faker! Jatt: No! Kobe: Is he worth less than minions? Jatt: I guess Gold is Gold. Kobe: You mean like that player? Jatt: Come on. That’s not funny... maybe a little...

Considering how easy it is for a pro to stomp a game in gold or silver I think they you are not being entirely truthful.

why does everyone say "my team sucks" rather then thinking maybe the enemy is just good?

Depends on the context but I know for sure the enemy team didn't force my teammates to do (or not do) something that didn't help the team at all.

Like yesterday I had a game where I was stomping lane and my bot laners were going even in their lane, but instead of our jungler showing his face in the mid/bot lane ONCE to help us push for more advantages... he sat top lane all game long for our Aatrox vs a top lane Vladimir. It makes no sense to camp Vlad because of how his kit works AND that very same vlad still had more CS than our top laner and his tower didn't even go down till 30 minutes into the game.

Really makes me and the two bot laners question if our jungler was afk all game long.

2 things.

1st.

Were they a 2man premade, then you fucked. Premades are horrid to deal with, they really arn’t part of tge team and they don’t view you as teammates.

2nd.

Did you pointlessly flame jungle for not doing what you think he should be doing. Did you freak out when he was farming a camp (jungle minions don’t walk to you in straight line), you do know jungles need exp too?

2Charmnot2Charm1 votes

1st

And people who do that should stop taking up the jungle role, jungle is too important of a role for selfish duos.

2nd

It's common knowledge that the jungler should be ganking lanes that are ahead and lanes that are gankable (you are not killing Vlad stop that).

Of course me and bot lane gave the jungler time to do his camps but guess what, no matter the situation HE NEVER SHOWED UP. You're telling me that the enemy jungler can find the time to show up mid and bot lane for 30 minutes while farming his jungle, but my team jungler only has the time to show up top lane? The enemy jungler never showed his face in the top lane and they STILL didn't get Vlad's tower.

I hate how people that don't know what they are doing are playing the most important role in the game.

Yeah, most laners usually start spamming me at around 2:30 cuz they are already losing in lane.

I hate how people that don't know what they are doing are playing the most important role in the game.

I feel often feel the same about laners. I also get very confused that they expect me to carry them, see I que up for a team based game. Basically things jungle hears almost every match, "win my lane for me", get every team objective solo", "don't fall behind", "winning is your responsibility not mine" and "no matter how many times I feed, you are still supposed to carry"

"Better jungler wins"

Or the team that feeds the most loses

FIDDLESTICKS B0T2 votes

Because I know when my enemy is good, and when they are just being inted to by my 0% winrate Darius player. If I see an amazing jungle player, I will recognize and commend them for it: I do it all the time. The problem is, more often than not, my enemy laner will just get fed off of my idiot teammates running it down. Can't really commend them for being skilled if they are being practically force fed gold...

ChuShoe2 votes

Why do you continue to ask these futile questions? stop defending my trash degenerate scumbag teammates.

Chalizard2 votes

Why anyone would think they are good? They are your enemies, they are bad just because of that and your teammates are just worse, that's what our brain wants to think and so it thinks this way.

In psychology there is a statement that it is good to blame invisible forces like "bad luck" for your mistakes. You will learn from this mistake anyway and you will be able to sleep calmly at night, being sure that it is not your fault. I guess it is simillar with saying that enemies are lucky or just less bad than your teammates, but not good.

Human nature. Cant change that.

Because matchmaking is kinda fucky. If you look at the MMR differences on op.gg when in loading screen, generally there'll be a decent gap in estimated MMR. Whether your team or the enemy team has the higher MMR, it's unbalanced and can lead to a stomp either way. I do like how Riot are changing ranked for next season and I believe it'll be an overall better experience.

Divine Winds1 votes

Technically, saying someone is "good" or "better" is usually relative to your team. So when they're saying their team sucks, it's relative to the enemy team making both statements that the enemy is good and the ally team is bad essentially equal.
