Doesn't Garen's Q MS boost go against the Juggernaut theme of immobility?

Before anyone get's any ideas I worship main Garen.

Not saying it needs to be nerfed/changed or anything, it just seems out of line with the 'theme', and if it is, what would be more thematic? Also what about Skarner's W?

  • Do MS boosts count as minor mobility?
  • What is true immobility?
  • If something is considered 'immobile' is minor mobility allowed because it's minor?

What about things that have 0 means of traversing faster no matter how slight, is that pure immobility? If Juggernauts are meant to be immobile, why are there items that give MS boosts that alleviate it?

Slow =/= Immobility. Riot's definition of mobility involves dashes and blinks. Basically if a champion has to walk around a wall they can be considered immobile.

I'm sure there's more to it than this, but this is what I remember.

So is that like comparing Dexterous movement Vs Cumbersome movement? Efficiency in pathing?

Where do you draw the line with move speed then?

Personally I don't. Hecarim and Rammus with homeguards can catch just about anyone, but if you jump over a wall they still have to go around (unless Hecarim ults).

Riot, however, may have a different opinion when it comes to movement speed, however Garen in his current state seems to match what they think of as immobile.

it's the fact that he can still be kitted to hell with it. It only gives 30% bonus MS at all ranks, scaling up to 3.5 only at max rank. If he activates it to get out of one slow, then gets hit with another one, then he's stuck again, until it comes off cooldown.

I've never really noticed it being a big problem as Garen, you really feel stuck as Darius but not quite as Garen. Pushing too far in lane as Darius is really dangerous, but not so much as Garen, the MS boost scales immensely well by late game to the point you can close gaps easily with it.

I would like to point out that mord and skarner also have skills that give an ms boost.

Being immobile just means you cant come out the FoW and be on top of them immediately.
