Yasuo on release, 39% winrate.
Azir 36% winrate, and got buffed and shit ton of bug fixed to get to 45%.
Now Ekko started with 45% and that's with alot of nubs play him....

Since you cited Champion.gg: They also offer a nice little statistic called "winrate% by games played". I recommend you check it out. His winrate shoots up to 60% on people who have >5 games on him.
If people would learn how to read fucking statistics before randomly quoting out of context pieces for their cause, this world would be a much better place. BTW: Fun fact: Considering his Skillcap, 5-15games is NOT much. I epxect winrate to go past 60% on more experienced players. Gj Riot you made a super op champ.
You have to be an idiot to think Ekko is balanced right now
only part of ekkos skills that is overbearingly op is his passive it needs slightly less damage and a longer cooldown you shouldnt be able to burst tanks as easily as it would take to bust 2 squishies with no defense

Because people don't know how to use him yet doesn't mean the kit design itself have no issues.

Basically when a champion is OP on release, or just in general, people spam them thus increasing the pick rate to an insane ammount. But since he has a bit of a learning curve, people are dragging it down because they have no idea how to use him properly.
Winrate on its own is NOT a good indicator if a champion is OP.
First week yasuo win rates 30%, first week gnar win rates 30%. Why did they get nerfed if their win rates were so low at release? exactly.
