How the fuck do you farm against poke champs as a melee

Honestly, how do you keep up with cs against a champ who has good poking as a melee, I see 0 counterplay to it.

You don't you fall behind have less than half their CS and hope you get carried. All you can do is not die to your laner so your team MIGHT be able to 4v5

Uhhh depends on the matchup Usually melee champions would have to all in and typically would win to secure their spot in the lane but if you're trying to afk farm cs against them it's just not gonna work lol

You don't. You sit back and hope like hell that they aren't very good at freezing, and that someone from your team gets the chance to stop by and give you a hand. Other than that, a melee isn't MEANT to be able to farm against a longer range poke champ.

As a Diana 1-trick basically forever, I deal with it damn near every game. Diana fortunately has a ranged Q to farm with(Though most champs have SOME skill that they can farm with at range, even if they'd rather not.), but it's still a pain - You play back, miss CS, only get the CS that you can safely get without being overly punished. Sometime that number is extremely low, other times it's not. Just how the range/poke VS melee matchup tends to go. Sit back, CS with whatever skills/attacks you can, and hope your jungle or an allied laner comes by when they can.
