Has anyone noticed how mission rewards are getting worse and worse. Like.. a HEXTECH chest after you compleated 5 other missions, not even a mastercraft chest, or a shitty orb or the event capsule, just a hextech chest, that will probably contain a champ shard. And the missions leading up to that hextech chest are even worse- BE? most people already have more than enough, and once you have all the champs BE is pretty much useless. Previous events would give you orbs, chests, emotes, icons ON your way to the final mission. Compare this Star Guardian event to odyssey, we even got a exclusive skin at the very end. This + giving up on any future PVE + eternal$ is just a sad future for this game, if it even has one.

this isn't even an event. we're lucky we got anything at all considering it was confirmed to not be an event ages ago.

Sadly, Riot makes large uses of the addicting concept of games, which makes, on a psychological level, difficult to quit a game even if it's considered "Trash", "Boring", etc. from a player (want an example? Prestige points). With that said, what would be, then, the point for them to give fresh and interesting stuff if people will play no matter what? There's a reason why URF will never get back: because it is what the player wanted, but made people getaway since it made the same, basic, overused game boring. I personally will stop playing the game exactly after getting my last pass and my last batch of prestige points, so I can get a damn skin and then get over with it. This, however, won't last forever. Since, recently, the UK government decided to address the loot boxes system in videogames with a much more firm hand, this will inevitably affect Riot Games as well, since also other nations will, probably, address the same issue as well as "gambling addiction problem".

Before missions we only could get free stuff by getting S ranks, now you can just play the game and get chests. Who cares if it's skins or champ shards.

I just want to say that the 2 previous star guardian events were my favorite times PLAYING league in the last 5 years, I would have honestly rather not have the skins come out until a time when they could actually do another event particularly with a new game mode of some kind based in the universe of the star guardians. As much as I would love it to be another PvE game mode with the whole corruption you could even make a PvP game mode of some kind.

I honestly feel like all the talent at riot is put to NON-game parts the animated videos that they release are so well made. The writing team continues to release amazing stories that develop more of this world that started out as random heroes dueling and fighting in this huge arena.

I wish that riot would have some consist reliable events LIKE snowdown although I do miss poro-king I could always convince friends who haven't touched league all year to reinstall the game and play this mode because we just found it so relaxed, crazy and ridiculous. Same thing with the old April fool's back when Urf and espeically Nurf ;) would come out I knew I could always convince friends who don't play league to come play. When the PvE modes came out I was able to drag friends into them even with them being super skeptical and they loved these modes and loved the lore to it.

I don't mind riot trying new things but I also want some things that we can depend on as well,

Kind of ranty but at least the animation and story teams are trying to pick up the slack for riot's other practices, or lack there of

A "shitty orb"? It's guaranteed skin shard. The OE system makes it tad underwhelming but it's the highest possible reward. I just wonder what exactly you consider not shitty orb? Given that you consider orbs a shitty reward I just wonder what do you want? It's the most rewarding thing ever given excluding guaranteed PROJECT skin which may be considered better for some.

You list icons among good rewards but call BE useless - surplus BE can be used in Emporium and majority of players certainly aren't in the surplus. Icons are actually more useless given people usually settle on one and exchange them rarely when new form of self-expression comes. People literally complained they were forced from their prefered icons in some events (VS).

Also current event is not Token-based event. They have no Orb or Tokens to give. They should give out 2 Masterwork chests to be on par with 2 orbs standard but alas such is life.

Also getting BE per mission is better than getting tokens in most cases, which, If you aim for the best content, is equvalent of simply getting two orbs from final mission. There might be people aiming for BE or champ shards for whom it might've meant BE/ChampShard per mission, Emote per two missions. Everybody else basically got no per-mission reward because they kinda had to finish all of them for enough tokens. As such, it would be the same for them If it was one giant mission.

This wasn't even going to be an 'event' at all until all the complaining. PROJECT just finished and Worlds 2019 (The biggest event of the year) is right around the corner. Some of you are too entitled.

Why should they give you a free orb when you can buy it at the shop with a very small price that totally is ~~not~~ worth your money. In all seriousness, what happened to the EU laws that are against gambling in games because I am pretty sure these orbs, jackpots and the TFT eggs are illegal

BE never been useless, because they are actually making events to buy Gemstones, skins for limited time with BE currency.

These star guardians missions are not an event, they are just missions and they are fine as just missions. That said imo project and arcade were not events either! They were just skins and battle pass promotions with some missions as well! Even tho events were hyped up by Riot at the start of the season, this years events were disappointing and I think that it's wrong to even call most of them events. Events like Bilgewater: Burning Tides (4 years ago), Star Guardian Invasion (2 years ago), Project: Hunters (2 years ago), Odyssey Extraction (last year) show us that Riot can make great events when they want to. This gives me an impression that Riot has just became lazy when it comes to league events. It looks like they are sacrificing league content in favor of developing new games. As a league player I wish they put more love and passion in future events.

What? The only one that isn't in the store RIGHT NOW is Ziggs, and he was in the shop at the time--he had a chroma bundle, for Pete's sake. What am I missing here?

I can't even craft a border for SG Zoe or any of the skins for that matter. Dont get me wrong I dont really like the token system, but seriously? They've literally taken something that has been a part of every previous event, the loading screen border of all things, and put it behind a price tag and a paywall. Wtf man...

The missions don't require you to go out of your way at all. You complete them by just playing the game. It's the epitome of "More Free Stuff." You are complaining about not getting enough free stuff.

It is definitely an "un-event". Nothing to motivate the players to really take part.

I should also point out that the Project event is the first one in a long time I didn't get a pass for - because none of the champions interested me. And the rewards looked "meh". There was nothing that appealed to those of us who are actually collectors.

And this Star Guardian non-event has champion skins/packages that are over-priced and out of sync with previous skins (1820RP for a mediocre skin). No pass to purchase so we can work our way to getting a prestige skin. It speaks of laziness and a design department that is losing its motivation. Sorry Riot designers and marketing - til recently, you guys have done a stellar job with all the nonsense that Riot has passed your way. But it's now twice (in my eyes) that the ball has been dropped.

Whats your point? I remember when events, missions, etc. didn't exist, and you had to grind 900 games to get a champion... This is still better.
