Looking over my last 50 losses...

StoryDuck··2 votes·387 views

I noticed that only 9 times out of that 50 losses that it was my fault. I'm also accepting it is my fault if only my ADC does poorly, it's my job to protect them so if I failed, I failed. I'm also counting the game where Eve and TF camped bot...to be honest I'm not sure there is anything I could have done there but hey I was the one that fed. I'm also counting the 2 d/c games where my crap router failed. Then of course there are the few games where I'm tilted to hell. The other 41 games that I lost I had the highest kill participation percentage or got my adc so fed that it was absurd we lost. I would be willing to bet that I scored more A and S rankings in my last 50 losses then anyone else on these boards.

So I need advice from any Diamond+ support mains. What do you do when the top or mid is feeding out of their mind pre-10 minutes? I want to climb the ranks and I feel I can, I ward often and well (often warding other lanes that are getting focused/ahead), I have good map awareness and my mechanics with many supports is top notch. I just don't know what it is that I can do when my top lane feeds 5 kills by 10 minutes or the enemy mid lane is 4/0 at 5. Am I just truly this unlucky or am I missing something to get me that bit further?

EDIT: My word people I'm just asking what I can do to help my allies when they are losing lane. Stop getting all bent out of shape and picking a fight over the first paragraph.

I know this isn't what you asked for, so this advice is probably unwanted, but I feel you're probably focusing on the wrong thing by asking "whose fault was this loss?" I think you'd have more success if you ask yourself "What could I have done better?" instead. Even if you personally played great that game, there's usually something, I think. Sometimes teammates lose games, it happens. But you can't control your teammates. All you can control is your own play, so that's probably the best way to go about it.

I am asking what I can do. What is the procedure for helping out a losing lane? Do I need to roam their way more? I often ward for them so they are not getting dove under tower (only when they against champs that don't excel at diving towers) should I do something different? You sure as hell can't talk them out of it. My god, even when you say it kindly "Hey man no frets up top. It's okay to lose some CS we can bring ya back into it just give us time." I got an "f*** you go kys for that one. Perhaps there is a better way to say it. I'm not a psych major so ya know maybe there's a better way to say it to get them to stop trying to get CS right next to the guy that keeps killing them.

Awww, but Sona is so fun. Lol, yeah I have been playing a lot of her lately. I like the strong lead I can build in the early game from her bullying and having a 4 second CD item 3190 is just op in the late game. The problem is often getting her there, the game is decided well before I can even buy one item on her. It is a very rare game indeed that I lose when its into the late game with Sona there are just so many shields and lets face it item 3190 item 3107 is all the rage right now and Sona just adds onto that like a monster in solo que. I find her to be a safe bully pick that excels in the late game. However, you may be right, I may need some support with a bigger team impact pre-level 11. Taric's been my boy so far and I'm a monster with him. I am quite skilled with Lulu but she's been banned just about every game. Honestly, the only support champions I'm not good with are Thresh, Braum, Alistar, and Rakan (but only because I just got him)

Umm, can't say I go for grade...it just works out that way when I get involved with most kills. I go for involvement. As I said I have good map awareness and I am very frequently at the right place at the right time to make a play or counterplay. Also, how would one go for grade? If I remember correctly wasn't the grading stats hidden from LOL players just for that reason?

I think the best way to climb is to play lots of games. I needed to play some 1200 ranked games to climb from B5 to S5 last season. I may have to do the same this season, with even more games since games are very one-sided this season. 50 loses doesn't seem like much if you cover it up with 300 wins.

So, 9 out of 50 times it was your fault you say? Well, that's 18% of the time. There are five people on a team, you comprise 20% of that team... so what you're saying is that you are about average... it's your fault basically about the same number of times that it would be the fault of anyone else.

I'm not sure if that was your intention in this thread, but at least you admit to almost equal fault.

yeah i was going to say. 9/50 seems rather high... for it to be your fault and complain about it.

my mmr is high silver and my current elo is silver 5. (hopefully i can get my connection issue fixed soon so i can play ranked again)

but from what i remeber in seasons 4-7 only one out of every 15-20 games is it actually MY fault we lost.. and the vast majority of THOSE cases was because my direct laning/ jungle opponent was just flat out better than me

(in season 3 i had just started so it WAS my fault we lost)

because i have been playing for 5 seasons and i am currently in silver. i am MUCH better than the "average" silver player so its normally my teammates who feed and snowball the enemy to the point i can no longer win a 1v1, rather than me feeding them.

but yeah there are SOME game where i generally fuck up and have to admit fault.

like that game when i tried to press item 3092 and ended up mis-clicking and pressing item 3157 and then i got my self insta-gibbed the second i became target-able and the enemy team took baron and won... yeah that was my fault...[zombie-brand-facepalm]

9 out of 50 losses sir. Not 50 games. If I count wins too probably closer to 14 out of 100 (i get carried sometimes too). Also...umm I'm not looking to shift blame. Asking for help. Does no one read anymore? Like honestly, I would like to know what people do. If you don't have an answer then fine but I don't need to be heckled.
