Just because normal's have no ladder value doesn't mean they shouldn't count. I am tired of hearing the AP Windspeakers Jayce saying " It's norms man chill out." I happen to play normal's to get better and get some practice in. So please Riot, don't let someone who has 70 wins play against someone who has 700 and don't let the excuse "oh it's normal's go unpunished."
Phelas1 votesThing is, normals also have a ladder, sort of. You get matched by MMR that only counts for your normal games. Thats why people at around level 15 with high winrates get matched with level 30 peeps, due to their normal MMR that is quite high.
If you want to get a similar experience in normals as in rankeds, try draft tho, it's kind of competetive there, but Jayce is somewhat right, blind normals are for chill & trying out stuff.

I don't mind being paired with similar mmr, but that assumes you play ranked, I never play ranked and so I get mathced with a person who has no masteries? They don;t even have mmr lol
Phelas1 votesNono, ranked and normal queue MMR is seperated, like a diamond player will most likeley be matched with other diamond players when playing rankeds, but can be matched with every kind of elo when playing normal games, because maybe he only played a few to reach level 30, thus his normal mmr is below his ranked mmr.

Yeah I follow that, but am I crazy for thinking that's a little outrageous? I mean your lane opponent has thunderlords and you don't, that should be a gg right there in my mind. And on the other side, I should never have to play a diamond player haha I'm not one and will never be one ya know? So that also ruins the game
Phelas1 votesNo you're definetley not, but thats what normal are - trying stuff, not really caring about whats going to happen. If you want competetive environment, you sureley should play rankeds, thats what they are made for.
