What do you do against a decent Katarina in lane?

Not your usual one that shunpos in between a Nautilus and a Braum, but like an actual decent one?

I don't like calling things OP or broken, but it feels like when the Katarina has a grasp on her mechanics, she decides the flow of the laning phase. I'm not gonna talk about roaming, because getting your bot lane to actually listen to MIA pings is something God himself could not do, but when it's just me and her in lane, what's the general counterplay?

She's probably a bit OP right now, she's getting slight nerfs on the PBE. That said targeted CC against her is pretty much a must have, otherwise she could wreck your entire team with her Shunpos and insane damage.

The 1.0 AP ratio on her dagger pickup lategame might honestly just be too much for an AoE skill, even if it requires setting up first.

You pick Kassadin Ryze Leblanc

People are having problems with her because they still think they can pick immobile mages vs her after her rework.

EDIT: Annie Malzahar are still doing fine vs her

Her laning phase is a million times better now than it was. I'd just suggest picking the champion pool i stated above and try to out damage her and force her to recall more often so she can't roam to make up for lacking in lane. She got a decent late game nerf with the rework and i can't say her R now is garbage but it's definitely way less impactful than it was. They dialed down the burst from it and made it to be more dps like. Because of that she's easier to shut down in fights now, she has to wait for her W dagger to fall down after E>W>R which leaves enough time for counterplay.
