RIP Mordekaiser

Am I the only one who is absolutely disgusted by the Mordekaiser rework? They've completely rewritten his champion identity to be essentially required to have a duo lane partner. What part of hulking iron demigod of death and sickness that literally steals souls for a living screams "I can't do any of this by myself and so I need someone else to help me fight?!" On top of that, didn't Riot just say in the last patch that they didn't want AD to be a thing? And then they rework him to have vastly increased AD scaling and essentially be niche picked botlane as the alternative to an AD Carry/Marksman. What part of any of this from a balance perspective sounds even close to being sane? Wasn't the whole point of the rework to implement counterplay into his kit? There hasn't been any significant impact on his counterplay from what I've seen him played after his release other than that which previously existed- either getting out of range of his spells or kiting him. The only realistic impact to his counterplay has been moving him to botlane and removing his W if he doesn't, because let's be honest, what sort of team is going to let you run a duo top in this meta? Riot, you've butchered the Mordekaiser we've all grown to know and love in exchange for a cheap, gimmicky rip-off, and it is absolutely atrocious from someone who grew up playing Morde. I hope something is done about his kit, and soon, because it's revolting what you've done to it- both from the perspective of someone playing as Morde and someone playing against him.
