This is the problem Riot is having with some of it's champions.
When I think of champion design and balance I think of it as a Triangle, each point represented by some in game stat.
-Mobility -Tank -Damage
And a well balanced champion contains 2 of these stats in a very cohesive and balanced manner.
Examples are as follows.
Damage + Mobility = Assasins Mobility + Tank = Initiator/Junglers Damage + Tank = Juggernauts.
The biggest problem right now is that items and Masteries are setup in such a way that people that fall into the Mobility & Tank category are receiving too much of a stat ball that it's making them encompass the whole Triangle.
Shyvana - Hecarim - Leesin - and probably (IMO) Soon to be Camille. These champions in of themselves are not inherently flawed but with the advent of juggernaut items that was released pushed some of these champions into the wrong direction making them flawed.
Now, by no means does this mean that these items should be nerfed and champions compensated (We fucking know how well that went with DFG removal) Since you can't nerf juggernaut items because of the destruction of an entire class, something has to be looked at on a more micro level ...Masteries. CoTC to be precise.
This thing is the reason most of us are having such a hard time with Shyvana and Hecarim and even Leesin to some extent. While this does a great job for tanks, letting them be able to initiate without getting their health bar deleted in less than 3 seconds. It completely breaks champs who didn't need that power to begin with. They grab CoTC, grab 1 or 2 juggernaut items and proceed to shit all over your team.
CoTC was a push in the right direction but this is like sated devour all over again, helps alot of champions but completely breaks others.
? Janna is none of those, but i guess mobility? Morg and zyra are just damage?
