Dear Riot: Can the next support champion be "OP" too please?

Cant remember the last time I saw a support champion released where I thought to myself "omg that looks busted af," which is what I routinely find myself saying with the latest champ releases.

I'm moving on from complaining about mobility and power creep and going another route, to shamelessly lobby for the Support role to get the "OP" treatment next.

Rakan?

Braum?

Thresh?

Supports have a tendency to be broken on release

Thresh came out 5 years ago.

Braum came out almost 4 years ago.

Rakan was dependent on his interaction with Xayah to be OP.

So having happened maybe twice in 5 years, I'd say the Support role is overdue for something as blindingly awesome as Zoe, Camille, Kayn, Taliyah, Azir, etc.

I definitely don't remember Rakan being broken on release... Didn't he almost instantly get a buff too?

Rakan wasnt... he just had an obscene engage range if he was Paired with Xayah. On his own, he was not even close to being OP.

Braum is a 4 year old champion and Rakan wasn't busted on release the way we have been seeing the last two years.

Actually i think Riot must stop releasing new champs and work on new mechanics between old champs.

For example when Zilean uses his ult on Annie when she has full HP or has item 3157 or what so ever, he transforms her into an adult Annie for some time with new set of abilities.

This will help breath life into old champs and will open up fun ways to play, and since those interactions will be timed and require wasting abilities and have certain champs together you can have them be kinda little OP.

Ivern technically he is a jungler, but he MAINLY functions as a support. his release was one of the most broken riot released in awhile.

not necessarily, he was weak on release. it was the patch after his release where he got buffed and then sh1t got crazy

Support mains can't realistically include Ivern in their champion pool. Ivern's always going to be most effective as a jungler and sub-par as a Support champion.

I honestly wish Riot had geared him more as a support than a jungler. He's got an amazing kit that's unique and fun. I feel like if they geared his abilities to make him into a legitimate bot lane support, he would be getting plenty of play right now.
