give riven a reason to not take a trade
as of right now she spams shields off of cooldown into minion waves, ignoring the dangers of the laning phase 'cause she can win in the dumbest of trades.

Arya Riven2 votesThis is so she stands a chance against ranged top laners, otherwise minion aggro would kill her. :) I suggest instead giving other melee's tools to deal with minion aggro damage.
Mira Arya Enthe2 votesNot to tell a Riven main how to play the champ. But it is also important in melee matchups. Riven's lack of innate sustain and incredibly low HP regen already means she spends more money on pots than items(exaggeration). The shield only lasts 1.5 seconds and allows her to block single abilities/attacks or a single barrage of minion shots.

In my opinion though is that if you get countered hard a few games here and there it only makes up for the ridiculous hard carry that Riven is.
